The essence/qualities of people and other organisms/objects can be duplicated and stored in bottles. Upon opening a bottle, the essence inside gets copied onto yours which gives you qualities of the essence inside. You only need one bottle as just one can supply an infinite amount of that particular essence.

I don't mean to pry, but I noticed that pascal's head on the bottle doesn't have the red color in on the bottom of her white hair, was that intentional?
