Personality:
Cary is a man with plenty of self confidence and ego, always seeming friendly. He often makes phone calls to girlfriends when he isn't working, though where he finds the time is a mystery. He seems to work constantly, always updating his journal of pokemon facts and has an unusual sleep schedule. He power naps throughout the day and is capable of napping most anywhere. He has a high tolerance level for most anything and is willing to listen to people, though he is fond of hearing praise of himself as well. He happens to be mildly germaphobic and never takes off his leather gloves. However, Cary does have a nasty temper if irritated, often getting irritated when disturbed during work or teased. When in a tantrum he secludes himself in his office and then proceeds to destroy it.

Backstory:
When he was younger he played pretend often, fireman, policeman, doctor and so on. As he grew older he decided to actually look into those silly jobs he played as a child. Eventually he went to study at a prestigous university in Castelia City. He originally went in to study human psychology but found a greater demand for pokemon psychology. After uni he went to Kanto and applied to studied the pokemon being used for the military as this would be perfect for his new degree. He has a doctorate and sometimes will go so far as tell people to call him "Doctor" or "Professor" to stroke his own ego. He doesn't like field work especially since he feels it's filthy but will go out to study. He's fond of his Frillish since she's often clean and wears the jewelry making him feel she's more proper than most dirty pokemon as he thinks.

This Frillish has a tendency to act human at times. She wears the necklace on her head because she is very fond of things that sparkle or shine and often tries to take Cary's gold or silver items, once even trying to go for his face when he wore his glasses. She has an intense curiousity and is often poking at things to figure it out. She seems sweet enough at first but she also does try to hug people randomly which could result in paralysis in her "victim".
