Description
Another color paper test. This is a new board that I wasn't 100% happy with. The value was a tad too dark and I had a hard time seeing my pencil lines. The red was also a tad too much. Figured a DD would make enough sense on a red board, but I doubt I'll be using this paper again..the search for the perfect color paper continues. I may just stick with the Canson after all.Marker and white paint

But Canson is so prone to bleeding, yet i see what you meant what with the paper you are using. Have you found a good toned paper yet???

Nah, I've stuck with Canson. It's good paper for the most part. Just wish it was heavier. It bleeds, but when you work with markers, you get use to that heh.

Anyways, thank you much for saying that. It'd be boring to watch, but if there's anything in particular that you're curious about please feel free to ask. I do plan to post a step by step tut at some point, but I've been lazy and putting it off to avoid all the writing I'd have to do hehe.

I liked your Adam Hughes journal. looking at your work I feel the same way. Your light years ahead of me ever understanding markers. Hell, I'm still testing out different types of paper too asbord and not bleed from markers. I do feel inspired from looking at your work. Thank you for challenging me .

oh, man niiiice. Is that acrylic paint? How did you get such a subtle transition between values with marker? did you do a pencil sketch under this? Sorry for all the questions, I'm the inquisitive sort.

It's a watercolor paint called Bleed Proof White. The transitions are doable because of the 9 different shades of grey to work with. Yeah I always have a pencil drawing underneath. No worries about the questions. Please fire away
