Description

This is the design for the Bioid-Hound from my Ben 10 fanfic T Minus 10, which you can read on FFN or AO3 . For the designs of these character, I decided to break away from my usual art style and make my best attempt to imitate DJW's.

Probably the closet thing I came to for a Ben 10 OC. This one was probably the hardest to draw because I don't have a lot of experience drawing animals or animal-like things.

I decided to go with a Bioid-hound instead of Khyber's Panuncian because I don't think the Nemetrix's default form should be a predator for any of Ben's aliens. After the failure of his last two pets (Three counting Skurd), I think Khyber would go with a mechanical user for the Nemetrix. This was inspired by the Bioids Vilgax used in The Final Battle, machines with blank DNA synced to a transformation device. This way, the Nemetrix wielder would be completely loyal to Khyber.

Because I wanted to copy the Bioid's proportions and design element, the Bioid-Hound came out looking more like a dog's skeleton. I had a lot of trouble with the torso area (or whatever part of a dog that's called). I wanted to replicate that U-shape the Bioid's had, but with the way this stood, it just wasn't working. I had a lot of trouble with the front legs to. In the end, I based their design off of Oboro's from Black Fox.
