Finally. OMG this was so fricking hard. AND I'm STILL over budget. I'm supposed to have 1000 tris. I can't take it down anymore without killing shape. I'm going to lose several points for it, but it can't be helped.Her name is Kosuke. She's a demon hunter. Her Katana isn't in this rendering. That's not finished yet actually.

Oh man, I can't imagine how tough that is. My teacher for that class was like "nobody has to go down to 1,000 polys anymore, make it 5,000 quads."
Personally, I work at a comfortable level of polys for myself/the character, then I add more (smoothing) or reduce (optimizing) as needed. It works for me anyway. It ensures I get the best shape per poly that I think I can and goes from there.
Great texturing though. I seem to fail at textures. But she looks great in the eyes despite the poly limit.

The eyes is just a map.
My teacher's a donkey, if you get my meaning. He wants 1000 tris. I think I did damn good at 961 quads. I learned something really color with texturing that makes it easier. Other then making the textures itself texturing only took about an hour.
