Rathe enters the village after taking a stroll outside and searches to see if there was anyone he could interact. At first he didn't see anyone and sense of loneliness lays heavy in his heart and felt a huge surge of uneasiness. "There should be someone here," He thought to himself, but then again, he understood if people were quite busy with their own things. After calming himself, he began to search for someone to hang out with.

The streets were oddly quiet. Ceri was sure that there would
have been more people around, especially now that there was
a large amount of people appearing in the village. He glanced
around, looking for anyone who might be as confused as he was.
Perhaps there was an event outside Elledolias that he wasn't aware of.
After a few more minutes of wandering around, he found a male paladin
on the other side of the road. Walking up to him, he asked, 
"Have you seen anyone else around? It's awfully quiet, isn't it?"

His eyes widen and sees one of the leaders approach him. "Oh pretty Ceri-kun~!" His name was quite famous so it was hard not to know their names. But still, this mage leader surely does sparkle in the sun light. "It's weird yeah, I wonder what everyone is doing," 
Just thinking about no one being here at the very moment worries him and a sense of uneasiness crept in again. Rathe decides to distract himself by continuing the conversation, "Maybe they went out for a picnic or camping or something, I wish I could do something like that. I might slept in all the fun and missed it when I took a stroll--," He commented, pouting his cheek a little bit.

word got out that he was one of the guardians? Nevertheless,
he was glad that he got a reply. "Yes. I picnic sounds
pleasant. It's unfortunate that we aren't there if that's the 
case." Ceri looked at the other side of the street. It was still
as desolate as ever. 

"So, it seems you know me already. Why don't you introduce 
yourself to me?" Ceri asked, also trying to continue the
conversation.

"My name Rathe, I'm one of the paladins that holds a gigantic broadsword~" He said with a proud expression and slowly loosens up with a chuckle.

"Since there's not a lot of people around today, do you want to do something together?" He bluntly asked the guardian without a second thought. Rathe thought that since there still many hours left in the day, why not get to know Mr. Mage-kun. Wait, what happens if he has other plans-- "Unless you have something planned after this;;!"

Ceri leaned forward, getting a closer look at his face. He wasn't the best with names, so he wanted to make sure that he wouldn't forget this time around. "Interesting, very interesting. Nice to meet you, Rathe," he said. The paladin had a nice, relaxing atmosphere around him, which compelled Ceri to hang out with him. 

He returned to his normal position and thought about it. The paladin's offer was hard to resist. Anything was better than wandering alone, after all. "Sure, I'm fine with anything." A cold chill surged through him, making him flinch. "Perhaps something warm though?" He silently cursed his skill and pulled his cape around him.

When the mage leaned in, the paladin smiled brightly to ensure that his face gets burned into his memories. "Ahaha glad that I peaked your interest~" He said with a chuckle before scratching the back of his head. Normally people would be a bit nervous because they're guardians but in Rathe's eyes, Guardians are just a title. It doesn't mean the person is any different whether or not they're a guardian. 

He was actually surprised that Ceri accepted his offer. A feeling of excitement spread across his body, taking the uneasiness away from him. "That's great! I love to get to know Ceri-kun too!" He laughs before watching Ceri flinch. After hearing his statement, Rathe curled his lips and smiles, "Sure~ Would you rather a drink or food?... or would you like a hug from me to warm you up~" he said with a wink as his sparkles began to enhance its' appearance.

"Let's get something to eat," Ceri replied, almost immediately. He was in the mood for something warm in his stomach. His train of thought was almost interrupted by the excessive sparkles radiating from Rathe, but then again, it was a nice change of mood from his normal routine. Ceri wondered if he was hallucinating from the cold or if it was actual sparkles. He appreciated that Rathe was acting rather kind to him and that he wasn't overly formal. People tended to act stiff and unnatural around Ceri, probably due to his awkward nature. "I don't need a hug, by the way, but thanks for the offer," he added. It wasn't that he hated hugs or anything, he just didn't like risking contracting any germs from them and hugging strangers were a huge nope for him.

He stood for a moment with a blank look on his face. He wasn't sure what food he wanted to eat and he wasn't sure of the paladin's tastes either. Looking up, he said, "I'm fine with any food, so what do you want to eat?"

Rathe was a bit disappointed that Ceri didn't accept the hug offer but hasn't given up yet. He has officially decided to find ways to gain friend points for Ceri! He then noticed that Ceri had a blank look on his face. Rathe found it rather adorable for some strange reason and chuckles loudly, "Ahaha, Ceri-kun is actually really cute~" He blurted out bluntly without a second thought. Then suddenly, he also realized that he doesn't know what he actually wants to eat.

"Oh man, that's quite a hard decision," He said as he pulls up his hand to his cheek and ponders. He whispers under his breathe while thinking, "I don't mind eating you--" He stopped and realized that he has to actually think about what to eat with Ceri. He pulls out his finger, signalling he has an idea. "How about we tell each other what we like to eat!" He suggested in a proud manner. Sparkles began to circle around him as he gave Ceri and bright smile, "What does Ceri-kun like it eat~?"

denied French 12 two years in a row because it clashed
with my other classes, so I forgot everything OTL OTL

For some reason, I visualized Ceri making an ice disco ball of some sort and reflecting Rathe's sparkles.

It made him content that someone thought he was decent-looking. He always imagined himself as the bland type, due to his static personality and lack of fashion. "Thank you for the compliment. You're rather handsome yourself," Ceri replied. He was called many things before, but cute was a first for him.

Ceri nodded. It was a hard choice indeed. He faced the ground and furrowed his eyebrows, trying to think of all the cafes and shops he had been to the last month or so. Tofu? Steak? He had no idea where to start. When Rathe pulled out his finger, Ceri quickly looked up and listened intently to his idea. He wondered how Rathe came up with such genius plans. "That is a good plan, indeed. Well, I like hamburgers and stew and," he paused, "Parfaits." He knew well that parfaits weren't warm at all, but he couldn't help but put it in.

"But I'm not picky. So what do you like?"

aHAHA I remember in my french class, my teacher knew I was a dedicated student who got the highest mark out of all the other students, she asked if I completed this one project. I didn't actually did it because I thought it was another project so I said yeah. The teacher claims that if I DID done, she probably lost it. So to fill in the marks, she assumed that I got 90+ on so she did and yeah. o = o I feel like a cheater everytime I think about it. xDD But I did not want to present in french again. //cries

To be frankly honest, Rathe felt that Ceri-kun is playing the role of hard to get. He actually already knew that Ceri was germophobe but couldn't help but still try to achieve him. He happily smiles at Ceri afterwards from the handsome comment. "You're most very welcome Ceri-kun~" Rathe have to focus on the current situation before openly expressing his affection to the guardian.

Rathe concentrated on listening to Ceri when he stated the things that he likes to eat. Upon hearing the word 'Parfait' made Rathe smile. He did not expect to have Ceri, who was ranked as a guardian, to be so cute. Trying to hold his attempts to touch him has slowly become more difficult throughout the meeting. "Ahh those sounds so good right now!" He exclaimed happily as he pounds his chest to start his turn of the plan.

"The things I like to eat are practically anything I can get my hands on! I like eating pastry, soups, curry, steak, snacks and any type of ice-creams for deserts~" Rathe curled his lips and pulls out his finger again, "So how about we go to a place that sells stew or curry and have parfaits and ice-cream in their menus?"

"Pastries, soups, curry," Ceri repeated to himself. Staring blankly for a few breaths, he couldn't help but fantasize about all the delicious food that was being described to him. He quickly wiped the bit of drool from his mouth. "That sounds like a good idea. I know of a good place that sells great curry if you want to give it a try. I heard they sell dessert there too. Come, follow me," he said, already making his way there. He paused for a moment,"Oh, and thank you for not touching me or anything, I really appreciate it," he said, softening his voice before continuing his path to the place.

After walking for a while, he realized that he was walking a bit too fast. Although it was hard to get lost in such a desolate area, Ceri felt that it would be rude to just storm on ahead. He slowed down to match Rathe's speed and walked beside him. The place was a while away, so he thought that starting a conversation would be a good way to kill time. "So, how's Elledolias so far? I'm quite fond of this place, you know."

Hearing the response from Ceri, Rathe lit up again and wags his non-existent tail. "There is! That sounds good!" He agreed to the plan and decided to follow his lead. When Ceri paused, Rathe almost bumped into him but luckily he just fell backwards onto his ass. He looked up to hear what Ceri had to say and couldn't help but laugh, "Ahaha, of course!" Rathe gets up and sighes silently. He actually has to not touch this man and that just made Rathe really sad but still determined. But really sad and conflicted. The only reason why it's hard NOT to touch his that Ceri is acting adorable and Rathe has to try to resist his urges. This will be the day where Rathe has to finally resist any temptation.

While walking, the paladin realized that comparing his walking speed to the mage, Ceri is like a rocket so he tries to walk faster than he usually does. Thankfully when Ceri slow down his speed, Rathe was able to ease his legs and just walked normally.

"Really pretty and relaxing," He said smiling, "People are nice and the other races as well," Rathe began to think of some other things to add into the conversation, "Oh by the way Ceri-kun, what do you like to do as your hobby?"

Ceri nodded, "I agree. I love the peaceful atmosphere around this village. A lot of the places around here are just as peaceful too. I like going to the beach sometimes to hear the waves." He recently had an encounter with a linker who kept on saying that the place was horribly insane and crazy, which quite upset him. So hearing that someone else enjoyed the village as much as he did was a relief.

"As for hobbies, I like collecting stuff you could say. Space-related stuff."  He reached into his pocket and grabbed some purple and blue marbles with constellations painted onto them. He lifted them up so Rathe could get a better look. Looking at the marbles, he noticed that he had doubles of one of the constellations. Picking it up, he put it in the paladin's hand, being careful not to make skin contact. "Here, for you. It's a leo." He put the rest of the marbles back into his pocket and continued walking. "How about you? Tell me some of your hobbies."

The paladin nodded back in reply, "Yeah, and the scenery is absolutely astonishing~" His sparkles flew around, "Oh yeah! The beach was pretty nice too! A nice dip after training with my trusty sword," He said with such a proud face as he pounds at his chest, happy. 

"Space-related stuff?" Rathe quoted from Ceri as he watches him hold out purple and blue marbles with constellations on them. How they sparkled under the sunlight was dazzling so beautifully in Rathe's view. When Ceri placed the marble into his hand, he felt a warm fluffy feeling even though he could feel the coldness of the marble from Ceri's grasps. "Thank you so much Ceri-kun," He grinned brightly as he presses the leo marble to his lips, "I will treasure this with all my might~" He said passionately before carefully putting it away into his pocket.

"I don't really collect things but I love talking to people," His atmosphere made him look like a satisfied puppy, wagging his own tail, "I also like to train since I have to constantly hold my gigantic swords, especially for fighting and such. But what I love to do the most other than interacting with people, is eating," Rathe was about to drool, thinking about the food the they're about to eat.

Ceri watched as Rathe presses the marble against his lips. It was surprising that someone would appreciate such an on-the-spot gift, but it gave Ceri a warm feeling. Or was that his skill giving him mercy for once? He couldn't tell. "It makes me really happy that you like it," Ceri replied. Although his face and tone of voice didn't show it, he really did. He knew of a few jerks who would only keep their gifts as bragging rights or trash it the second the gifter looked away. Then again, Ceri's gifts were usually small. Carrying around deliberate gifts and free things wasn't exactly how he liked to spend his time.

"I love talking to people, myself. It's interesting to get to learn new things about people every day." When he heard of Rathe's gigantic sword, he couldn't help but be reminded of his horribly heavy staff. He didn't have the physical stamina to hold it for long, so he never bothered to carry it around until necessary. He always admired paladins and their physical strength. Looking back at Rathe finishing his sentence, he noticed that Rathe looked like he was also about to drool. It seemed that both of them craved some food at the moment.

"You have some saliva on your mouth, Rathe," Ceri said, reaching to wipe Rathe's mouth. However, he quickly retracted his hand, realizing what he was doing. "Sorry, I'm no good with germs after all," he apologized, looking down. He was a bit ashamed of his fear towards uncleanliness, but didn't want to seem weak in front of the Paladin. He remained silent for a few minutes, before speaking up again, "Anyways, the restaurant is in near view. Let's go." He sped to the door, and used his cape to grab the handle, avoiding skin contact with the door. "Guests first," he said, motioning for Rathe to go in.

Rathe blankly stares at Ceri's reaction. He wipes his own drool off his mouth and wonders, is it possible to take away his germ phobia? He snapped back to reality as soon as Ceri apologized about his germ situation. Rathe replied with a smiling face and shaking hand to signal the feeling of 'don't worry about it'. "It's all good Ceri-kun! It can't be help but I really appreciate your thought though," Admittedly, he still wanted Ceri to touch him but that'll have to wait.

He managed to reach to the door fast enough so that Ceri didn't have to wait long for him because if he didn't run, Ceri would have to wait another 5 minutes for Rathe. "Thank you!" He said grinning as his sparkles glittered in Ceri's face. Rathe turns around and holds the door from the inside to let Ceri enter without worrying about the cape and germs contacting his hand. "I got this," His tone was much lower, as if he truly acted like a gentlemen while keeping his smiling expression. In reality, Rathe is still tired from sprinting to the door.

"Ooohh this place is so pretty," He exclaimed as he glances around the restaurant like a curious animal.

Ceri bit his lower lip, regretting bringing the mood down. However, Rathe didn't seem very effected by it much to Ceri's relief. Making a bad impression was the last thing he wanted to do. He waited for Rathe to catch up, still holding the door using his cape. He was a bit surprised when the paladin started making a run for the door. Perhaps he didn't want Ceri to wait? "You're welcome," Ceri replied giving a small bow for manners. He was about to attempt to let go and slide through the door before it closed to minimize contact with the germ-ridden surfaces; however, his plan was shown to be unnecessary as  Rathe held the door for him. "Thank you. Thank you very much," he replied, "You're a very considerate person."

After entering inside, Ceri saw that the restaurant wasn't as busy as usual. It was actually quite empty, but the waiters and employees were still there working to ensure top quality. He didn't mind though, less people meant less bacteria and dirt to him. After asking for a table for two, the waiter showed them their seats and Ceri made himself comfortable in one of the chairs. They were given menus with a wide selection of foods to choose from. "So, why don't you make an order? I'll eat whatever you eat."

"Plus a parfait," he added.

You're a very considerate person, somehow that phrase struck something inside of him. Rathe's eyes wandered around the cafe, still admiring the design, he follows Ceri and the waiter to their seats. Once he sat down, he took a look through the menu that was given to them and looked at what was there to offer. Something caught his eye while examining the items, 'Golden Curry'. His eyes began to glitter and the sparkles began to shimmer, "I would like to have the golden curry please!" He exclaimed, almost excitedly. 

He glances back to the menu again and saw an addition for extra rice with any curries mentioned in the menu, "With extra rice," He added while continuing scanning the desert section of the menu. "I also would like to have three scoops of chocolate ice-cream and a parfait." Rathe looks up from the menu to Ceri's face, "Are you sure you want to eat whatever I'm eating? You can always order hamburger or stew, since you like them right?" He gives Ceri a reassuring smile.

"Golden curry? That sounds delicious," Ceri commented, still looking through his menu. Even though he already told Rathe what he wanted, Ceri still liked to look at the pictures and food in the menu. It was always entertaining to try and find new menu items or additions. Ceri would occasionally glance at Rathe, enjoying his positive attitude. Something about the Paladin made Ceri want to try smiling more too. However, last time he tried smiling, people called it a traumatic experience. Ceri let out a sigh, recalling his last attempts of being someone he was not. Still, he wanted to express his happiness in other ways, besides saying it out loud.
 

 "I would like the golden curry and a parfait please," Ceri said, facing the waiter. "With extra strawberries on the parfait, please." After the waiter finished taking their orders and left, Ceri turned back to Rathe. "I'm sure. I love trying new things and the curry sounds really good." He gave Rathe a nod of confidence, showing his commitment to the curry. The food wasn't even out yet, but already Ceri felt a lot warmer for some reason.

"I'm really happy getting to eat here with you like this, Rathe."

As he was looking through the menu, Rathe did in fact, felt like he was being occasionally looked at from time to time. He couldn't help but feel happy but also worried if he is making Ceri uncomfortable from his constant smiles and shimmering sparkles. He also learned that Ceri doesn't really express much emotions even though in his words, he meant every feeling. This caught him thinking, 'Is there anything that I can do to help him in any way?'. If it weren't for the guardians, Rathe would have never been inspired to even help the village nor even wanting to defend the large tree. Rathe also felt like he was in debt to all of them and just wants to be able to be a good use for whatever plan they have in mind. Also, he wants to help Ceri not as a fellow underclass, but as a person and a friend.

After Ceri finished ordering his part to the waiter, Rathe leaned his elbows onto the table with a gentle smile on his face. He nodded in reply of Ceri's confidence in his order because he believed that it was something he actually wanted to do. "Okay then, if you're alright with it, it's fine by me~" He chuckled before taking a surprise hit from Ceri's statement. Something was bubbling inside of him, something different. It may be as an accomplishment for Rathe to be able to get a closer bond with him, or it could be an entire different reason all together. Of course, it is quite uncertain to why he feels this way.

Hearing the statement, Rathe scratches the back of his neck, still keeping a smile on his face. He was feeling a bit embarrassed but he felt incredibly happy. "Eheh, you give me too much credit Ceri-kun," He said with a laugh before straightening his back, "But I should say the same thing to you too! I really like being in your presence," upon saying that statement, the marble popped into his mind, "Oh right, I should give you something in return for the marble you gave me!" He exclaimed, "I want to give you something special as well~!" Rathe then reaches into his other pocket and pulled out several strings of beads. These were his experimental beads in case he wants to change the one on his hair. One of the many strings had a purple and blue color theme on it, with pure white sphere beads on each end. "This one reminds me of you so you can have this one!" Remembering Ceri's germ phobia problem, he grabs his napkin and wraps it around the gift before handing it to him. "Please take it!" Rathe's smile seems more bright than the other smiles for some reason.

Without the menu -which was  taken away by the waiter- Ceri found himself with nothing to distract himself with. Instead, he observed Rathe trying to find out what kind of person he was. From what Ceri knew, he was a kind-hearted paladin whose smile could rival the sun. The guy also liked talking to people and eating and he was also strong enough to carry a gigantic sword. Despite knowing all of this, Ceri couldn't help but feel that he wanted to know more about the Paladin. He was normally curious about everyone he met, but for some reason Ceri's curiosity towards Rathe was greater than normal. Ceri put a finger on each corner of his lips and pushed up slightly, trying to make something that resembled a smile. Perhaps he would understand Rathe better if he tried. However, he quickly gave up knowing that he probably looked stupid for trying something so random.

"I only tell the truth, you know," Ceri replied, giving Rathe an O-K sign with his hand to enforce his statement. He felt that he wasn't giving Rathe enough credit in all honesty. "Do you really think so? That's a first for me." He was used to his presence being considered cold and aloof, so hearing someone actually liking his presence was a new feeling to him. It was a nice feeling though. Taking in some deep breaths, he wanted to savour the unknown emotion before it faded away like most. However, he secretly hoped it would never fade away.

Ceri looked up in surprise when Rathe mentioned the marble. A gift in return? Rathe was full of new things, not that Ceri minded at all. He watched him pull out several strings of beads from his pockets and couldn't help but curiously look at what they were. Ceri thought they resembled the one in Rathe's hair, which only served to perk his curiosity even more. When Rathe passed him a napkin with the beads inside, he opened it carefully like if he was opening a priceless treasure. He appreciated Rathe's consideration towards his germaphobia. When the gift was unwrapped, he saw the string of beads carefully laid inside, and they were incredibly beautiful to him. From the material they were made from to their arrangement, Ceri was at a loss for words. "Thank you so much. I love it" he said, bringing the gift to his lips in reference to Rathe's reaction with the marble. Holding the bead against his hair, he asked how he looked. "Will you show me how to wear it like you, sometime?" Ceri asked, eager to put it on. For a second, he felt like he was capable of showing some sort of feeling on his face, even if it didn't actually happen. "Thank you again, it means a lot to me."

He saw the waiter walking towards them with plates of curry ready for them. He could smell the pleasant aroma coming from the dishes, and leaned forward to get a better look. Food was just about to get served.

Rathe watched Ceri as he looked at the string of beads that he gave him and just couldn't help but smile at his reaction. Thank you so much. I love it. That statement resonated in Rathe's heart. He couldn't help but notice that watching Ceri was much more fun that he expected. Discovering the new points in this guardian, was this normal with other people? His ears flushed as he saw his own technique been used by Ceri. Was this move always this powerful or is it just him?

"Of course I will!" He exclaimed passionately, "Well of course we have to eat first but when we get out, I will gladly help you put it on~" Grinning brightly at him, "And then we'll match!" His sparkles radiated in the cafe, giving off a warm and fluffy atmosphere as the food arrives to the table. Rathe softens his smile as he looks at Ceri, "I'm glad that you like it." 

As soon as the plates arrive the table, Rathe may or may not have sparkles stuck to his eyes when he spots the golden curry. He sniffs the food so hard that he could die from satisfaction from just the scent. "Wahhh it smells so good~!!" He grabs another tissue and wraps it around the handle of an untouched spoon and scooped his place of curry and rice and handed towards Ceri. "Don't worry, the spoon is untouched, so no germs should be on it. All it has, is the food," Rathe grinned happily. "Say ah~"

"Thank you, I look forward to after eating then," Ceri replied, carefully putting the string of beads into his pocket.  He patted his pockets to make sure they were safe and sound before looking back up to add to his response,  "Matching would be nice too."  Having matching accessories was something that never occurred to Ceri before, so getting to try it excited Ceri.

Seeing Rathe's satisfaction from the curry made it look all the more appetizing. Ceri took a quick sniff of the food too, taking in its delicious scent. Before he could grab his spoon, he was greeted with another spoon full of rice and curry in front of him. "Rathe?" He saw that the handle was wrapped with a tissue. Grasping the situation, he wondered if it occurred to Rathe that as long as Ceri didn't touch the spoon handle, no germs would be contracted. The thought made Ceri give almost laugh, but he quickly suppressed it before any sound was made. He didn't want to accidentally fling the spoon onto the floor and Ceri was sort of scared of what his laugh would sound like. He honestly didn't know, so it was better safe than sorry. However, seeing Rathe take extra care with preventing germ protection made something warm resonate within him. "Make sure to wipe the spoon after so you don't get any of my germs, okay?" Ceri said, before putting his mouth around the spoon. The curry was indeed delicious. All the spices and ingredients were mixed perfectly, making something that could be compared to a harmony. Ceri lingered for a bit, making sure not a drop of rice was left. After swallowing, he let go of the spoon and leaned back into his seat. He was slightly confused as to why he did what he just did, but it was definitely a friendly gesture of some sort, Ceri figured. He secretly didn't mind it either.

"Oh almost forgot. Ah," Ceri said, far too late.

Rathe happily nods at Ceri, "Of course. If it makes you comfortable, I'll make sure to clean it before actually using it." He felt Ceri's mouth through the spoon where he made sure to savor the harmony of the spices. It took only a moment for Ceri to swallow the spoon full down but what Rathe felt through the spoon, was an astonishing experience. To be honest, he was actually surprised that Ceri took the spoon full. He felt as though he was doing something wrong at first and expected it to fail but it was executed completely. Was it just him, or are their bond somewhat closer than they have back at the village? Rathe gulps down his saliva while watching Ceri lean back from the table. 

As promised, Rathe took another napkin and began to rub the spoon while feeling both the warm and cold residue of the food and Ceri's mouth. Finally, he manages to super clean the spoon and shows it to Ceri, "All clean now~ No need to worry~" He brings out his goofy smile as he aims for his meal. He could still feel the faint feeling of the spoon inside Ceri's mouth. Rathe's sparkles enhances as he tries to distract himself with the food. Thankfully that did the trick. He then heard a faint comment from Ceri and looks up.

"Almost forgot what?" Rathe asked, curious but concerned. Did he do something wrong? He stares at Ceri like a puppy.

Ceri took a bite of his own curry, glancing at Rathe. He was happy to see the paladin clean the spoon like he promised. Although it was nearly impossible to contract any sort of disease from saliva in Aesthia, Ceri had this irrational fear of germs giving people harmful sicknesses and just being dirty in general. In all honesty, he was more ashamed of this fear than anything. It made him want to hide at home and stay inside all day, but he knew that as a guardian, that wasn't an option. After a few moments drowning in self reflection, Ceri realized that he was unintentionally tensing up and tried to relax. Part of him wanted to open up completely to the knight, but another part of him wanted to preserve the relationship they had now.

"Oh, it's nothing, don't worry," he said, stirring his curry. "Let's just enjoy the curry before it gets cold." He took a large bite of his curry and quickly regained his appetite. "So, after we're done eating, do you want to go somewhere else? I know quite a few places here in Elledolias we could go to." Ceri forked a few more spoonfuls of curry into his mouth, wondering if he would finish his meal before Rathe or not. He couldn't tell.

There was something comforting about the paladin, but Ceri couldn't describe why he felt that way. Perhaps it was his constant smiling? Or excessive sparkles? He couldn't help but feel like there was more to it, but all the thinking gave him a minor headache. Deciding to push away the thoughts, he distracted himself with the food in front of him. The curry wasn’t going to finish itself after all.

"Hmm.." He stares at Ceri, confused, but decided not to push it too far. "Heh, of course! I want to continue to hanging out with you!" Sparkles brightens as he talks passionately at Ceri. "As long as I'm with you, I know I'll have a great time walking around Elledolias!" He grinned happily before digging into the golden curry again. Funny enough, Rathe has begun to eat faster than before, maybe he was excited to go and hang out with Ceri longer. Or, it's because Rathe hasn't been eating much and gave most of his bought food for the innocent people in Elledolias. But Rathe believed that since he is enjoying spending time with Ceri, the food that he's eating is some how more delicious with him than by himself. Of course, a small doubt was that he never been into this cafe before so he couldn't confirm the theory. But it's nice to believe it.

After just a short amount of time, Rathe finally finished the curry and the extra rice that was included in it. He leans back to his chair, totally satisfied as he pats his stomach. "Ahhhh~ That was so good!" Straightening his back, he couldn't wait to eat dessert. But he realized that since he has finished the main course, he doesn't have anything else to distract an upcoming thought that came up into his mind. Why exactly is he having more fun with Ceri than all the other people he hung out with? Was it because he couldn't touch him? He glances at Ceri, and noticed how interesting he was. Even with the expressionless face, Rathe was intrigued to know more about him. Ah man, Rathe really wants to touch him. But not now, for once, he's scared that he might ruin the bond between them.

"Ceri-kun is too cute." He pouted at him, trying to resist his urges.

Ceri stopped eating when he heard Rathe's reply, eyes sparkling despite his lack of expression. "I can't wait then. There's quite a lot of shops and places we can go to around these parts. There's even a beach, but I think you already know that. I also know a local hot spring over here if you get cold later on. I know the owner quite well so she could book us a spot for free--" Ceri stopped, realizing he was talking a bit too much. He had a bad habit of going on a tangent when talking about something that interested him and constantly had to watch himself from getting carried away. Recollecting himself, he finished his statement. "But I'll be more than happy doing whatever you want." Ceri glanced out the window, glad to see the sun still out. He never carried a watch with him, so keeping track of time was rather difficult. Returning to his meal, Ceri tried to eat it before it got cold. He went to this café multiple times in the past, but the food seemed tastier than usual. Perhaps the owners tried a new recipe? Ceri was no chef, so he couldn't tell.

After finally finishing the curry, Ceri stretched outwards, satisfied from the meal. "Mhm," Ceri agreed, giving Rathe a quick nod. In the end, Rathe was the faster eater but Ceri wasn't quick at eating in the first place, so he didn't mind losing the imaginary competition he made for himself. He noticed Rathe glancing at him for a moment, making Ceri think that he was caught red-handed.  "Sorry, I was comparing our eating speeds. I tried to beat you but I lost," he said, unmoving, "I don't mind losing though." He gave Rathe a thumbs up, demonstrating his good -but unnecessary- sportsmanship towards this completely random event. 

"It makes me quite happy knowing that someone associates me with the word cute. I guess that would make you handsome, then?" Ceri replied. He glanced over at the waiter arriving with the desserts, eyeballing the parfaits in particular. "Looks like dessert has arrived. Try to not get a brain freeze, Rathe. I'd only make it worse."

His eyes sparkled with Ceri as he listened to him talk, "Oh that sounds nice! Man I need a good warm dip from training so much in the past couple of days." He grinned until Ceri stopped and looked at him. Rathe wondered if he stopped talking and thought he was rambling too much and scared that he would bothered by it. He gave him a reassuring smile, "Oh no, keep talking! It really doesn't bother me! In fact, I like hearing you talk, I want to hear more of your voice and what you have to say," Rathe said, from the bottom of his heart.

After Ceri admitted the imaginary competition, Rathe chuckled as he winks at Ceri. "Well, the reason why I ate so fast to begin with. Was that for some reason, the food given to us, tasted way better when I'm with you. I'm almost positive that it's not just from the spices, but it's because you're with me right now!" For a moment, it felt like a confession but Rathe didn't mind it. In his mind, this was true and why lie about the truth? When Rathe saw Ceri give him the thumbs up, he smiles in comfort. No human can be this cute.

Normally when people tell him that he was handsome, he would instantly flirted off with them and try to seduce them in the process. But when Ceri stated that he was handsome, he felt a bit embarrassed. He found this particularly strange but wasn't bad either. Or...  is he actually feeling the emotions from the bottom of his heart? Once dessert arrived, Rathe's mind was distracted.

"Ahaha no worries~ I can handle it!" He chuckled.

Looking at Rathe with surprise, Ceri could sense some heat rising to his face. He never considered his voice something that people would actually want to listen to, making the statement all the more impactful. It took him a few moments to fully register the comment before replying, " Thank you. I don't hear that very often." Rathe's reassuring smile made Ceri feel warm inside, making him put his hand over his forehead to see if he was sick or something. He was still as cold as ever, physically. All these new feelings interested Ceri, even if he had zero idea what all of it meant. But at the same time, he couldn't help like he wanted something else.

When Rathe brought up the fact that food tasted better with people, Ceri had a small realization. The food was definitely better because he was around the Rathe, not because of some new spices or whatever. "Wow, that really explains a lot, because I feel the exact same way with you," he replied, agreeing wholeheartedly to the statement.

After the parfaits were placed on the  table, Ceri took a napkin and carefully wiped the spoon handle and exterior of the cup of one of the parfaits before taking it. "I also enjoy the large ice cream parfaits here, but they're far too large for me to finish on my own. Maybe once I get over my fear of germs I'll share one with you." Ceri took a large spoonful of his parfait, enjoying its familiar taste in his mouth. He always ordered a parfait when going to this particular café alone, but rarely ordered it when others were around to avoid rumors spreading. Guardians were like symbols of peace in Aesthesia, complying Ceri to uphold a strong appearance for others, even if it went against what he desired. Perhaps he was taking his title too seriously, but Ceri feared tarnishing the other guardian's reputation with his selfishness. Taking another spoonful of the parfait, Ceri also wondered why he decided to order one on this particular day. Sure, he wanted one, but normally he would be much more cautious around others.   Maybe it's because of Rathe, he thought, still eating the parfait. He glanced over, trying to justify his thought process and before he knew it, he was almost done his dessert.

Hearing that Ceri felt the same way when he was eating his plate of curry, Rathe felt so happy inside that he would just go and quickly hug this guardian. Wait. Now, he's starting to think that this guy is making it harder for Rathe to keep in his desires. Dammit germaphobia.

When Rathe was eating his 3 chocolate ice-cream dessert, he glances at Ceri to see if he was able to read his expressionless face. "Oh then I can't wait then! That means that I want to help you get over your germ problem~" He smiles, "But of course, I can be patient so you don't have to rush," He chuckled as he digs into his ice-cream. Rathe began to think differently for once. If he was in Ceri's shoes or in any guardian's shoes, they hold a great responsibility and an image of the team. It was very hard thought to think of, because he views everyone the same. But as a 'normal person's' perspective, they hold higher rank than all of us. Must have been pretty stressful trying to keep up such image, he thought. 

"I can't wait to go to the hot springs with you," Rathe said happily after eating his last bite. If Ceri is stress from his job, then what's better than to just dip into the hot springs and relax the muscles and mentality in them. And he totally wants to see what he looks like naked.

"I do hope I can get over my fear of germs. It's something I've been wanting for a long time, but it just seems impossible for me at this moment," Ceri replied, slightly opening up about his issue. He had been so used to living with his germaphobia that he gave up trying to cure it. However, part of him still wanted to keep trying. Ceri looked up at Rathe with confidence, "But if I'm with you, I'm certain I can overcome this hurdle." He honestly had no plans on how to solve his germaphobia nor any guide, but just saying it filled him with hope. Hope that he had been lacking since the start of his journey in Aesthesia. 

After finishing his last bite, Ceri immediately grabbed out his wallet to pay the waiter. "I'll pay for the both of us. Think of it as a thank you from me", he said. He made sure to pay for both of their meals and tip the person generously. Ceri wasn’t going to let the chance to repay Rathe for his kindness go to waste. After touching the money, Ceri had the strong urge to go wash his hands immediately, but he resisted remembering his goal. If he was going to overcome his fear he might as well start now. Still, he felt pretty icky not washing up ASAP.

Ah man, Rathe felt a bit guilty making him pay for the extra rice for the curry, plus the dessert as well. 'If only I could touch him to repay his kindness' he thought to himself. Imagining Ceri being the bottom and-- If he imagined anymore, he would be completely erected. Something else caught him in surprise. Ceri didn't wash his hands after giving the change, despite being a germaphobe. He was about to say if he was okay but this was Ceri's battle, against the great germaphobe king of .... Cerilioisusior-- you know what. Another way of saying is, this is the job only for Ceri to accomplish.

"Yes please! To the hot springs! And then after, I can apply the beads I gave you into your hair~" Sparkles shimmered around them as they got out of their seats. Rathe then remembered his imagination of Ceri and immediately his cheeks began to warm up. Stop thinking about perverted things Rathe! At this rate, it will indeed be visible down there and that's the last thing he wants; to appear as a pervert to him. "And make sure to let me know if anything is up in your mind, okay?" He grinned happily, trying to hide his flushed cheeks.

"I can't wait to try the beads. The hot springs are actually owned by the innkeeper, but I'm good friends with the family so we'll have access to them. By the way, I'll be booking a room for myself tonight so I apologize if you have to wait a while before entering," he said, already walking to his destination. Ceri's place was being renovated, so he wasn't able to go back in the meantime. Secretly, it was because the weight of his space objects were getting too heavy for the floor to support, risking it caving in. Ceri let out a sigh, trying to remember why he liked space as much as he did. It was getting colder out, making Ceri more eager to get to the hot springs. 

Upon arriving, Ceri once again opened the door for Rathe using his cape, motioning him to enter. He was determined to be the gentlemen he was meant to be. The inn was a warm, inviting place with wooden walls and floor, and had various decorations hanging from the walls. "This place actually isn't open to the public yet, so we have it all to ourselves," he commented. He booked himself a large room and conversed with the innkeeper for a few minutes before turning back to Rathe. "Alright, let's go in. Here's a towel to cover yourself up for when we get in there," Ceri said, putting a warm, cleaned towel in Rathe's hand.

As soon as they entered the inn, the felt of freshness surrounded the walls and hallways. In fact, it was so calming that it was hard to believe that it's the Inn. Rathe listened to what Ceri commented about it not open to the public just yet. That actually made a lot of sense, with the atmosphere and cleansiness of the place. "Oh I see," He replied after watching him talk to the inn keeper. Ever since the traveling from the cafe to the actually inn, Rathe kept of seeing images of Ceri being in bed, naked, and... In other words, he has never thought of anyone this much in one day before. And especially in this manner as well. The urge was quite real.

He kept hearing the words 'so we have it all to ourselves' in his head. He felt like he flirted with so many people, he had forgotten how to keep his actions in tact. Rathe prays that during the hot spring event, he would not get erected. Oh please lord. "Ah thank you!" He thanked Ceri for handing him the towel, "Man I can't wait to soak into the hot waters~"

"Me too," Ceri replied, more than ready to wash off. He walked into the shower room, and looked for a shelf to stash their clothing in. Luckily it was close to the door, so it was easy to find. "Make sure to shower before and after the hot spring, and relieve yourself prior to entering if necessary," Ceri reminded, Rathe. Taking off his cloak, he felt like a huge weight had been lifted off his shoulders, literally. It was a heavy cloak. He neatly folded it before taking off his vest and sweater. He glanced over at Rathe to see how he was doing, but quickly looked away in respect. "I'll be taking off my pants now, please don't look until I tell you to." He unbuckled his belt, and finished undressing before wrapping the towel around his waist. "Done. I'll go on ahead and shower."

He walked over to one of the showers. Turning on the tap, a wave of relief hit Ceri as the water washed away the dirt. It was stressful not showering all day long, so finally getting one was extremely satisfying. After spending a few minutes cleaning himself from head to toe, Ceri was ready to make it to the actual hot spring. "Are you ready? Let's go."

He follows Ceri into the shower room and nodded at his instructions. His heart was racing, and that was because he doesn't know if he'll be to resist his urges at this rate. Rathe carefully takes off the beads, using a special method that he invented himself. He places them on an empty string and puts it into his pocket. He then proceeded to strip down all his clothing. He was quite built, but that was mostly from training ever since he woken up in the lands. Though he felt a little conscious because of the many scars that he has behind his back. It's still quite unknown to him to why he has so many scars that can basically cover the whole back. A theory was that it could be the main reason to why he can barely feel any pain physically. 

He glances at Ceri before he was told not look until he says so. Rathe turns away, clutching his fist with a small tear in his eyes. Dammit, he really wanted to see more of Ceri's body. He must hold on to these desires. As soon as Ceri announces that he was done, Rathe huffs to himself quietly, 'I swear, this guy is testing my abilities,' 

Rathe heads into the showers, adding the shampoo onto his hair while scrubbing his arms in the process. He was a bit nervous being near Ceri but that's only because he's scared that he might scare him. But he felt as though Ceri is seducing him in a way. He rinsed himself using the tap, feeling all the soap and the water wash off his body. He washes his hair and rinsed the soap off as well. And for once, his hair is very much down. He looks somewhat different with the large ahoge on his head. 

He grabs the towel but only holds it in his hands. Completely exposing his bottom area to Ceri, he gave him a gentle innocent smile, "Yeah, I'm ready~"

"Alright, let's go in then," Ceri said, making his way to the hot springs. He dipped is feet into the water, and very slowly went in. Since he was constantly cold, he was especially sensitive to the heat. When he finally submerged himself in the water, he felt almost instant relief. Everything was clean and warm. Exactly how Ceri liked it. He turned to Rathe, motioning him to come in. "So you don't like wearing towels, huh?," Ceri commented. He was caught off guard by his action, but his face remained unchanging. For a second, Ceri wondered if it would be less awkward if he was butt-naked too, but decided that Rathe would probably not appreciate it. It would be indecent to suddenly strip out of his towel after all. He also noticed that Rathe looked quite different prior to showering, but he still looked nice to Ceri. "You look very pretty with your hair like that, Rathe. I like you either way though." Giving Rathe a thumbs up, he gave him a look of approval. Ceri took a quick stretch afterwards, still waiting for Rathe to enter the hot spring.

He couldn't help but look at Rathe's strong build, admiring it. Ceri never worked out so seeing someone work hard to build up their stamina and strength was something worthy of respect to him. Ceri looked back down at his hands, looking at his own, thinner body. His hands were chapped and scarred from his compulsive hand washing and cleaning and hurt when he clenched his fist. Ceri was horribly self conscious about his hands, since they showed proof of his germaphobia, but normally Ceri's flashy cape and black fabric wrapped around his arms distracted people, so they never noticed. However, in a hot spring, they were obvious and easy to spot. He quickly put them back in the water to hide them, making a quick mental note to get himself to a priest as soon as tomorrow comes. 

"How's the water?"

Rathe blushed a little bit from his statement. He scratched the back of his neck as he felt his heart throb. The man's words resonated inside him quite oddly strange, much more than what people would say. Why is that? Anyways the tall paladin steps into the water, the nice hot steaming water. The warmth radiated his body making his muscles relax. "Ahhh this feels nice~" he said, spreading out his arms. He stares at Ceri, especially at how thin his body is. It was cute, pale, but still adorable.

"Don't be to worry around me," he said with a happy grin, "Right now, we're friends that are in a hot springs together~"

Ceri gave a nod, welcoming the statement. He wondered how someone he had only met that very day would consider him as a friend. An acquaintance was one thing, but being considered a friend wasn't common at all for him. Usually he would be referred to as an acquaintance or one of the guardians so hearing that made him especially happy. "Friends indeed," he said, soaking in the water.

Looking at Rathe, he tried to read his expression. The paladin was being extremely kind to him for no solid reason and there didn't seem to be a single ulterior motive in knight, much to Ceri's curiosity. Usually people would suck up to someone of higher class for some benefits. Which was terribly obvious when done. He could feel a pang of guilt inside of him for doubting his newfound friend and quickly tried to change the thoughts clouding his mind. What did people even talk about in hot springs? Ceri started blankly, trying to grasp any ideas that floated in the air. Alas, all he could think about was why Rathe enjoyed his company. Maybe he didn't really like it but was doing it as a formality. That seemed like a valid reason. However, the thought of having Rathe dislike Ceri's company filled him with anxiety. He could feel his mouth dry up and sweat form on his forehead from all his over thinking. After a painstakingly long minute, he managed to choke up a question, "Would you like to spend time together like this in the future?"

He looked at Rathe, expecting to be judged for such a needy question. Perhaps a cold glare, or a laugh at how childish Ceri sounded.

The paladin smiles again before nodding happily. "Of course I want to spend time with you like this~!" Rathe gives Ceri a wink before laughing, "I haven't felt this relax with someone before, it's a nice feeling." He slouches when he sat, making the water rise to his chin. A smile of his never left his face. He spent a lot of time with other people, Grim, Gany, Bella, but for some reason, just meeting Ceri for the first time today already made him feel a new sensation like no other, before. It was a beautiful feeling, as if he wasn't forced to do anything, just be himself. He laughs to himself and begin to realize that he have been thinking about Ceri more times in one day than he had with anybody. Why was that?

"Hmm..." He turns his head to Ceri and tilted his head. "Spending time with you like this makes my heart race happily." Rathe chuckled before staring into Ceri's eyes. "Ahh, I wanted to say this before but, you have beautiful eyes." He watched as the light fractures shimmer at Ceri's eyes, almost like stars into a dark purple world. "They're like the starry sky at night," His expression softens, wishing he could lean closer to see more but reminding him that it is merely impossible. They're only friends, and they only just meant each other today. And plus, Ceri seems to be a germophobe and Rathe must respect that aspect of him. But still, it has seemed that every moment with this guy, is testing his resistance ability. How long can he even keep this resistance going---

"I feel the exact same way," Ceri replied. He went to hot springs many times in the past, but this was the first time he's ever felt this relaxed. It was like all the stress on his shoulders were melting away. It wasn't normal for him to feel completely at ease with someone else. The mage could also feel his chest warm up a bit despite his skill causing water around him to go lukewarm. Adjusting his position, he looked back at Rathe trying to justify why he felt this way. Perhaps he had a skill of some sort? Or was a fire user?  He was curious for an answer, but nothing came to mind. After soaking in the water for a few minutes, he decided to ask. "Say, I'm not sure how to describe how I'm feeling right now, but it's an incredibly good feeling. Do you know what's causing it?" He placed his hand over his chest and could feel his heart beating  faster as well. The feeling confused but also intrigued him at the same time.

His eyes widened in surprise at the sudden compliment. "Oh? I'm really happy you think so. You have very beautiful eyes yourself." He leaned a little closer to get a better look. "They're like brilliant stars."

Rathe widened his eyes, could it be, that this guy also felt the same way? What is this warm but incredibly nice feeling? What is it indeed? Rathe looks up to the ceiling, "That I'm not too sure..." He said before moving his gaze back at Ceri. "Maybe it's a sign of happiness?" He laughs, "Or it could just mean we share a strong relationship already~!" Rathe didn't flinched when Ceri leaned a little bit towards him, but he did feel his heart racing faster and faster. This is not normal, he shouldn't have such a strong feeling towards him. He has to think about equality, but something about Ceri, something. It just sticks out to him. 

"For some reason, my heart is racing." he said and smiles. "You're more of a brilliant star to me, Ceri-kun~"

Ceri continued to look at Rathe, not breaking his gaze for a second. "Happiness? It would be nice if I could feel this way all the time then," he said. He never really took the time to think about what happiness was. He was usually content with his normal, guardian life, even if it was lonely at times. Thinking for a moment, he wondered if it was selfish of him to try to pursue this thing called happiness. Would it get in the way of his duties? Or perhaps give him a bad reputation? The thoughts put a knot in Ceri's stomach.

After hearing Rathe's comment, he could feel his previous worries slowly fade away. "Thank you," he replied, sinking deeper into the water.  The water reached just below his eyes, which was probably bad for him but he did it to hide the small smile forming on his mouth. Brilliant star? No one's ever called him that before. It made him happy to hear someone thought that he was important enough to be compared to a beautiful thing like a star.
