"The Duchess! The Duchess! Oh my dear paws! ...Where can I have dropped them?" (Carroll 38)Been feeling creatively stifled at work lately, and wanted to draw something to get the design juices flowing. Started re-reading Alice in Wonderland and thought it was an excellent opportunity to draw a new design for my beloved White Rabbit
And yes, he's holding his characteristic pocket watch ^^ May do a good coloured copy later if I don't get lazy

I love the details, How do you get your sketches to be so clean? My drawings are usually kinda weird and well, sketchy looking. And It's usually hard to make detailed clothes since It's hard to see the proportion when I'm zoomed in @.@

Ahaha I-I guess I tend to sketch clean >///< There's actually one more skeleton sketch layer under the one you see that I use to get my basic proportions down before going into detail (but that gets hidden in the final product and you don't see it XD) And it seems the more details I put in it, the more cleaner my sketch gets oAo;;; And I never zoom LOL. Usually I draw so that the character juuust fits onto my monitor screen P: (but I work on laptop, so pics end up bigger than they would be on computer)

Ahhh No zoom? @.@ Does that mean your canvas is big and you can scroll? @.@ I'm not sure I understand XD What kind of brush do you use to sketch?

Aha well, I usually make it just big enough to fit my screen, so I don't have to scroll 
I can't quite remember what brush size I used...>< For sure, the preliminary sketch (not shown) is done in an about 2pixel brush size. The lineart is usually done at about 1pixel or, if I sized the canvas super small, maybe a 0.7-0.8 pixel brush? The brush is just the "pencil" brush on openCanvas

Linearts are hard for me as my tablet lacks pressure sensivity. I guess I'll just have to practise more to draw better XD

Oh! Yes, it's very very hard to draw on computer without pressure sensitivity >< I rely on it a lot when I'm drawing (especially for linearts) A-ah I would definitely recommending spending the money to get a pressure sensitive one <33 They are very much worth it~

It's kinda hard to colour too without pressure sensitivity. Then again, I can't colour well @.@ Well, It's very costly here. And I'm only a kid @.@

Usually.....my sketches are really random >< I work off a rough skeleton figure in the pose I want on one layer, then sketch details on another? Aha if I plan on actually inking it into clean lineart, the sketches are usually less detailed and messier
