I am far more interested in seeing natural wonders as opposed to man made landmarks. However that only applies to my future American travels. Of course, all the famous internationally recognized museums are on my bucket list.

WOW!!! have you seen the grand canyon? i would love to go there, as stereotypical as it is. and camping! (or rving!) so i definitely see where you are coming from

I have not. Sadly my travel so far have not taken me far from my southern roots, but your feelings are mirrored by my own.
Mostly those museums found through out Europe, Egypt, India, and Asia.

1. get an airplane ticket and pack accordingly.
2. get a portable dvd player
3. watch gone with the wind on the plane ride
4. get off in europe, and go from there. no itinerary allowed. hahaha.

because while you are intellectually sifting your way through nationally acclaimed museums (YAWN heh heh), I will be riding camels in the sahara desert, or taking flamenco dances in spain!, or... zip-lining in south america somewhere. yeahhhh.

That is a gorgeous hotel. I went to a wedding there not to long ago. Very romantic.
