Description The ELR's newest resident locomotive, BR Standard 4 2.6.4T number 80080 leads the lines major visitor that weekend, Southern Railway "Lord Nelson" Class 7P 4.6.0 number 850 "Lord Nelson" on the first passenger service of the day from Bury to Rawtenstall through Burrs Country Park on 21st January 2012.

Plenty of steam effects!
But it can't be a Nelson! It's not got a 4P instead of a tender

Talking of power rating, i hadn't realised the Nelsons were 7P! That's impressive for such a compact machine!

Yes, they were 4 cylinder machines like a lot of the GWR locomotives were, such as the King and Castle, and the Royal Scots were also 7P machines, despite them having one less cylinder. It may be down to how it uses the steam it produces, thermal efficiency, cylinder size, number of cylinders and all that stuff.

Don't forget the modified Jubilees, Phoenix and Comet, which were also 7P
