1 week ago, it should have looked like this, but instead it looked like this:LNER Class A4 4.6.2 number 60009 "Union Of South Africa" pulls into Manchester Piccadilly with the North Wales Coast Express on 12th August 2012, one week after a failure of a fitness to run exam saw her sidelined from the tour on August 5th.

'tis progress, I'm afraid, one must make allowances for the future to expand.

I think they ran out of maroon paint, there's a 47 still in green undercoat up at Carnforth too. The next appeal to the general public from up there will be for a tin of paint I suspect.
Thanks for the comments

They want an appeal, heres an idea: OPEN DAY! We must get back into those sheds! I'd go then if they were to have an open day!
Alternatively, they could change the colours to Black and borrow a couple of thousand tins of Riley! He seems to have a good stock pile! xD
