Alright! I shaded for the first time in like forever. It is not my favorite shading but everyone seems to love it so yeah... I used a 2B and a 5B for 95% of it just using a 2H for her hair and a few minor touches. Honestly my eraser was invaluable for this whole drawing for the shines and cleaning it(like 100 times...). Her anatomy isn't perfect but it was the best I could pull off. Her pose in the ref was far harder than I initially made it out to be. I intentionally softened her face by massively enlarging her eyes as I wanted her to come off as sweeter like the side she keeps hidden. Then I used some stark hading to highlight her monstrous side giving this nice split of her personality and her reality. She is easily one of my all time favorite characters now and the manga/show are in my top 10 hands down! So with that being said I do love this one despite its flaws. Just finished her tonight! Whatcha think?

I couldn't get the pose just right tbh. It was more complex than I first thought hence I simplified it quite a lot. That might account for it. But her body was sorta like that in the ref.

You know, I'm honestly a little surprised to see that you not only watch the anime, but read the manga, as well. I know you said you liked "hidden gem anime/manga", but I never took you for the Ecchi fan. Even Sekirei was a rather reluctant watch, if I remember correctly.
That being said, it's always nice to see fanart of this series, especially with such an interesting twist on the characters. I definitely have to say that Rach-nee is in my top 3 favourite characters on the show. I never thought that her gentler personality being accentuated would look so well, but now that I see it, I must say that it's very befitting of her. The shading is great, as well. I find it very pleasurable to see when an artist uses a technique they normally don't, and this is no exception.

Mt tabu towards ecchi faded years ago lol. I love HOTD, DxD, and Musume all in like my top 10. The more you know lol.
I rarely shade as I sorta suck at it and it is time consuming. But people besides me seem to like it so I might more often. Idk yet. But glad you like her so much and had so much to say about her.

she is from Monster Musume. It is a currently airing anime this season as well as a more recent manga91-2 years old tops) that just caught on when the anime was released.
