Alright so a bit behind on my DA but do not think I have been slacking; au contraire I have never drawn more in my life! This one of Mikado I drew back on 7/16! I wanted the focus to be on his devolve-ment as a character. In the show he goes from the class rep to a slow and steady decline into criminality as he now heads two gangs. The pen is there as that quote from Izaya Orihara captures Mikado's decline so well even if it was uttered to another character. And the first time Mikado hurts anyone he stabs a pen through his newly acquired's gang's member's hand so it marks his real decline morally. The "do not enter" is police tape which is almost a trope of the series as it focuses on three teens moral decline as they each head a criminal group and just want to get back together through whatever seedy means are necessary. Great show I would recommend.
Enough about the elements. As for the actual presentation it is far from my best. I really changed his hair to something more shonen-esque as I just couldn't swing his actual hair even after 15-20 attempts. The shading is too smooth and lacking entirely imo but I am trying to improve at it. As for the pose it could be better but it also could be worse so it is a little victory imo, Whatcha think? I would love to hear it!
