Description Black and blue flowers
Blooming on snow skin
These beautiful colours
Where my fist has been

My right wrist is swollen
Deep, ring-marks printed in
The scream of the fallen
Where my teeth marked my skin

Crimson under my sleeve
Some beginning to fade
The ultimate pain relief
Brings the mark of my blade

This is a really great poem.
I understand you very well, my relationship with self harm is like a light that people turn on and off.
The only thing I can say is that the longest I've been clean has been a year and some months, and it was not a bad time,
it's not even THAT hard to stay clean after you get through the first month.
Work on what troubles you and you will be able to let go of this addiction, for now it's just your way to cope.
It's not a good thing to do, but nobody can achieve perfection. If you can find something better to deal with you pain that would be a better path.
Just remember what your real goal is, to be free. Addiction keeps us bound, so in the end we will have to part with it.
The moment we decide to part with it can be chosen by others or by ourselves, but that moment will come.
Everyone get's out of it in another way, we all have our own ways. as long as you remember that the way of self harm is a road that will eventually end and you can start to walk on another.
Be safe.
