Right here? Mexican Mother's Day. Right above? My mama's favorite animal! Much like that time with the tigers , a How2DrawAnimals video guided me...up until it was time to add shading. Much like that time, I was wary on how well I could make the effect look, so I took it step by step, scanning here and there...Adding more and more...Taking advice from lovely MistressOfTheVoid for a better position of the feathers (reflected only in the last hummingbird's alas, alas), I now present to you these four. Choose your favorite!

Colibrí Libre stands for Free Hummingbird (as in, freed from capture, not up for the taking, cheapskates) and calls back to my mother's endless adoration for these and other garden birds, prefering not to keep them caged and instead convincing them into daily visits to the house, via a nectar container and other treats. These feathered fellows bring her much joy when they hit her backyard. Here's hoping they'll cause a similar reaction when she sees 'em in my sketchbook's pages.
