This was a nice challenge for me. I've found that the longer I go without doing digital art, the harder it is once I try to do it again. There's just something so frustrating about digital art to me, even though it was my main form of art for several years. I honestly think that it's because I'm using an ancient Bamboo Beginner's Tablet, so I can't actually look down at where my hands are moving. When I draw traditionally I'm somehow able to pull off nicer poses simply because I'm looking down at my hands. Buuut art tablets are hella expensive and I'm an unemployed student, so I'm not getting a nice tablet anytime soon. I'd kill a man for one, though.Anyways, here's a spur of the moment bust of Captain Burgundy! Honestly just wanted to make something digital for the first time in ages, but it was a huge pain in the butt.

And yeah, I agree that it's hard to get into digital art when you're mostly focusing on traditional. And what's weird, is that I'm just now feeling that way. Ever since I started lining and coloring my drawings regularly, it's like I haven't felt the need to make digital art, since I now feel like I can make something look nice and polished by just drawing it traditionally.

Honestly?? I've considered that so many times. This old friend of mine from school (CoyoteGhostly over on Instagram, actually. She has a dA account but it hasn't been active in a millennia) has made literal hundreds of dollars just from taking commissions on the furry Amino app. I tried out the Amino app but I reeeally didn't enjoy the format and ended up just deleting it after awhile.

The honest to God weirdest phrase I've ever heard was: "If my dog was as ugly as you, I'd shave his butt and make him walk backwards." Which is an actual phrase I heard in real life from someone in the deep south. I thought they'd just... made it up... or something. But then I Googled it and no, no that's an actual southern phrase. Learning about my own culture everyday.

Look I've wanted to visit Australia ever since I had this one Australian internet friend back when I was 11, and man does Australia sound wild. Like one minute I'm hearing about kangaroos and saltwater crocodiles and all this other stuff, and the next minute someone's talking about how they took a 3:00 am run to the grocery store for some soda, like what?? What is Australia's overall culture, I'm so confused??
