Description SURPRISE~

Remember how--in a previous journal--I mentioned that I've been planning something for awhile now? WELL. Here it is. The first--eh--teaser, to a much bigger thing. That thing being an RP group. This is the first species that will be available in that RP group. Coming soon, to theaters near you.

Now, I hate to bore you, but there is some info on each species that will have to be read before creating a character in that species. Here's all the stuff you need to know on Necrowmancers.

Note: The shape-shifting is not strict. They can turn into a crow, or an anthro--but start off as a human. They can morph between ANY version of crow-human, meaning a Necrowmancer could change only their feet, or one hand--or replace both their arms with wings, etc. What I drew is just the most generic version, as I imagine them.

Newcrowmancers (pronounced: Neh-crow-man-sirs): The crow-men and women who devote their lives to the art and study of Necromancy; a darker, more dangerous interest than most would pursue. All about potion-making, herb-collecting, reading—and writing down their discoveries/notes. Oh—and reanimating corpses—temporarily, of course—to serve the Necrowmancer's needs.

The Necrowmancers take their job very seriously. They're an intelligent, inventive race with a knack for delving into the darker arts—and giving any who question them, a silent stare.

Out of all three races in Autumnhold, the Newcrowmancers are by far the least trusted—due to more than appearances. Bad omens and strange events seem to follow them wherever they go, not to mention their practice tends to lean towards the more morbid subjects. It's suspected that most thieving is done by them—when in need of ingredients for potions and such. Necromancy doesn't pay well as a job, either—although a select few are in the King's court.

They almost always have some sort of magical weapon/tool with them, reflecting their abilities. For instance, a Necrowmancer who specializes in Ice spells/curses, would probably have a tool that is also ice-related.

Fun fact: It's pretty standard for Necrowmancers to have pet cats. Black ones, in particular. The other citizens of Autumnhold even swear that the Newcrowmancers have an unearthly connection with the felines--but nobody really knows why. (No, they do not also ride on broomsticks.)

Thanks! It should be coming out pretty soon, but it's still under a lot of development.

Good luck with it all! Group creation and moderation can be difficult, but I'm know you got it. B^)

Yeah. The hard thing is--I've never BEEN in an RP group before, I've just spent endless hours RP-ing with friends/other people. So... I'm new to the group aspect of it. And I'm not sure of any good RP groups that I could join as a tester.

What I would do is search around other groups that are the same genre (or close to the same genre) as the group you want to make. Look around at all the journals of the rules, and character creation, and the way they format the different journals. I did that a lot before I modded my first group tbh, and it helped a lot just knowing more simple things like that! Because then you can get some sort of feel for it, without actually being in the group. Especially if you can't find any good RP groups to test the water with. ; v ;

Hm... Yeah... Are there any RP groups you'd recommend? It seems like every time I find one that I'm interested in, it's either on hiatus--or has VERY few members.

The RP Group that I'm currently keeping my eye on is . There's also this Star Wars group that I'm thinking of joining here which opens in a few days. And is currently having an enrollment for the next week, if you're into Harry Potter.

The first group looks funny, the second one looks cool! The third one is probably the most up my alley. I'll check them out a little further!

eeeee I'm in the third one, so if you joined we could have characters in the same universe. :^) But, yeah, check 'em out to see if they interest you first!

WOWIEZOWIE, YA.

Yeah, that would be fine! But I'd really prefer that if you make one, you RP a couple times at least? It's hard to get Groups started, y'know. xD

Omggg, it's GREAT to see some info on this group! And I definitely can't wait for it to start up. I love the thought and story surrounding the species so far.

Yisssss. It makes me excited to see someone excited over it. :'D

I'm glad! There's two more races to come, so I still have to make ref' sheets for them. Plus the blank ref' sheet for the group OCs--and the map of Autumnhold. xD
