Description
Russian Shooting Star - military steampunk necklaceI used to collect a lot of military surplus... about 15 plus years ago. Not that I did anything with it... just kept it sitting around. A while ago I made a few little things - and then a friend of mine asked if "I could make a few things for a Magazine photoshoot".... sure! Then she asked for a military/steampunk/tribal theme. So it took a while but I managed to make her some items. They should be out in April's Auxillary Magazine.
The name of this necklace is actually a play on words... Look closely at the star and behind it you will find that it was designed with two crossed rifles. I used that concept - and added on the clock hand below so it is a shooting star in more ways than one. The clock hand is a real one in a gold tone. This would have been from a very large clock - and I love the fancy, intricate shape.
This is in my etsy store - you can look for "clockworkzero" to see what's up there. but this piece is currently here: [link]
my store is here: [link] - its a bit sold out of many things at the moment.. but I'm working hard!
thanks for looking
