Description After getting back from a 3 day show in Ottawa I started to finally update my etsy page today so there are more details about this piece finally here: [link]

The main feature of this creative steampunk necklace is a wonderful optometrist's lens from a vintage set. Unlike many of these test sets this one has a wonderful black frame. What also makes it special is the fact that the glass is an irregular thickness - so I suspect it has to do with measuring the degree/angle of astigmatism.

When I was looking to design this necklace I realized I could work the design so our little octopus would be perfectly framed. At the very top is a nice brass stamping of a gear. The octopus hangs from a vintage Elgin pocket watch piece that contains 3 "jewels" set into it.
