Jasper is an ordinary pre-teen living in New York. Well, as ordinary as a cat-human creature could get. People would mistake him for a werewolf, except for one thing. Instead of changing into a wolf, he could change into a cat. He was a freak. But then again, weren't all New Yorkers? And living in New York was the perfect cover. He was just bullied at school, shoved around for being the weakest, smallest kid in the seventh grade. But it didn't have to be that way. If he just showed them his other side... But he couldn't. The laws, and his illness, prevented it.

But when his sister Cammy goes missing, and all signs point to a gang that had always had their eyes on her, is it time to finally show the world what they were... and try to find others like them? Jasper has to make the decision. Risk breaking the Beha's laws... Or save his sister's life. All while he's dying. Can he make the right decision?
