As a result of stress; Essy is rather blunt. Prefering to cut right to the quick as opposed to trying to cut time and be nice.
They are also quite high-strung due to being under almost constant pressure. Even if it is self inflicted.

Irritable , forgetful, unforgiving

Efficiency comes at a price and Essy can come off as rather irritable and forgetful. This is largely caused by the sheer lack of sleep
as Essy finds hey cannot default back to Iridescent if they keep their thought occupied. Tjis is also a large portion of why Essy doesn't sleep.

Born in the Netherlands, Espen spent the majority of their childhood years running wild; the child of two very liberal parents who largely spent their time operating and managing their tulip fields. Home-schooled Espen had little view of the outside world. For the most part the Netherlands had been spared from the terror that had stricken the rest of the world; up until the breach. In such an event the Netherlands were assaulted by a massive demonic force. While the Visser family managed to escape; their properties had been largely destroyed. And Espen's view had changed. The world was no longer a safe place but a terrifying one.

As such, the Visser family left; hoping to find a better, new start in life. Immigrating to the Southern United States they settled into a quaint farm, far from the terrors the bigger city had. Christian influence was heavy in the area, and Espen found themselves spending more and more time at the church. Growing obsessed with the Divine influence they spent countless hours reading, writing and learning. Dropping all schooling, Espen threaded themselves into the workings of God. In no time they were at the top of the system. Which made them tremendously popular in the small towns inner circle.

When a cattle farmer's wife corrupted it caused a sudden devil-outbreak; which was immediately brought to the attention of their little church circle.

Espen came fourth as a spearhead with their church to eradicate them. In Espen's eyes they couldn't lose. Not with God on their side.

It was a slaughtering, with droves of Priests and patrons alike being devoured and shredded. Espen too went down with the crowd. But their faith was not so easily shaken. In the space of carnage they exploded into life; with massive divine wings spread. With a vengeance they powered through the legion, slaughtering with little regard. They had awaken; as a Shimmering shard.

But it didn't stop there. With the confirmation of purity; Espen's devotion only intensified. With no patrons left at the church they moved; to a larger big, brighter city. With their new Shimmering form it was easy to wiggle their way into the heart of their Religious society. And they were fanatical. Spurring on the other patrons; Espen became obsessive. When the next onslaught came to the outer reaches of the city Espenburst; their shard expanding into an Iridescent. They had become a full angel. In a devout rampage they obliterated the surrounding demons once more. But it wasn't enough. Their eyes had been opened to the sin of the world and they couldn't be stopped.

For weeks Espen remained an illusive and devastating force, with massive wings carrying them with unmatched speed. Hundreds of demons and humans alike torn at their hands. When Espen went so far as to attack on of the school's own teachers; they were brought onto the schools radar. In a carefully crafted strike; the managed to take Espen down. Forcefully killing them and removing their shard. For several years Espen remained dormant.

It was only when Espen's parents came down to visit; that they reformed. The first shard in the schools history to every reform. Having reverted back to a Shimmering shard; Espen was able to be rehabilitated and eventually joined the school. Being a powerful entity it took little effort for them to work their way up to Magister status. And who better to teach the students about Iridescent's than one of them?
