I have been waiting a long time to post this project and it is finally done!For those of you not familiar with Animorphs, it is a book series by K. A. Applegate. The series is about a group of kids who have to fight off an alien invasion in secret, armed with only the ability to turn into animals. It's more complicated than that, but you get the idea.
Anyway, this is a little comic page I made that utilizes a couple paragraphs of text found on the back of most of the books in the series. Hope you enjoy it!
P.S. No that is not supposed to be one of the animorphs, and no the first panel is not a mistake.

Wow, this is so good! I love the natural look on his face in the last panel, completely blending in.... Despite the horrors in his head.
My only bit of constructive criticism on such a great piece is that in the infestation panel, the boy really could look more horrified.

uh...thats not how the yeerk gets in. they plunge your head in the yeerk pool, and the yeerk your assined to goes into your ear canal, goesa to your brain, squeezes into every crack and crevice your bran, and voila! your a controller.

That's true, that is the usual method. However, this way is possible as well, even though I'm sure it isn't a very practical way to infest people. But I thought it was more dramatic and visually interesting. In book 29, The Sickness, on page 137-138 there is a scene where a yeerk enters someone's head in a similar manner (I double checked my book for you just to be sure).

I think neither, it's just the way you draw it makes me laugh a little bit. It looks funny, but that's not a bad thing.
Or it might be. It depends on what emotion you wanted to get out of it.

As much as I would love to, I don't think it will happen. At least not for free. If for some reason Scholastic decided to pay me to turn the entire series into a graphic novel, I would jump at the chance. That is like, my dream job right there.
Unfortunately I doubt that scenario will come to pass and I have other projects that need to be worked on. Maybe when I retire a bajillion years from now...
