That looks fantastic.
The white spoltches make it looks like a poster, maybe vintage, that has been through hell, thats why it looks so gritty and dirty. They guy is perfect for it, too.

Very gritty manip...with a purpose. I have to agree with you...the pose of the guy is well worth using, and you've used it very well to get the point of your piece across. Kudos on not making the heart cutout look silly...you've made it look as gritty and fluid with the rest of the piece as one would hope it would be. I don't know how much you really need the multiple borders...I just feel like they take away from what you're really supposed to be looking at.
I love youre placement of the text and how they are split apart by the splotches of white...a very nice idea indeed.
