Isn't it the other way around? Fighting is non-effective against Ghost, but Ghost can still hit Fighting.
It's only non-effective both ways with Normal <--> Fighting.

That's a Fighting type against Ghost.
Ghost types do affect Fighting, though. You've got them muddled around ;D

Generally in the games yes,
however the games also use the eastern concept of spirits
Which tend to be more peaceful than the western ghosts.
