 Ferrets are amazing pets! They will play with you and snuggle with you and they're just downright awesome. :3
 If you treat them lovingly they will be the sweetest things ever! However, obviously if you don't treat them right they will be prone to bite.
 Ferrets need to be out of their kennel for about four hours each day, they get along well with some cats (depends on both the cat's and the ferret's personality) but I wouldn't suggest letting them near a dog, even if it's a nice dog.
 Ferrets sleep most of the day and they love taking stuffed animals (they cant have one's with eyes though), they also love wii remotes. My ferret's favorite place for stashing things is behind radiators and under the TV
A lot of people don't know this but there are ferret borders for when you want to go on vacation or something
Ferret can get depressed and sick so you need to pay attention and play with them
Some people have rooms for their ferret or block off one or two rooms to play in. It's not recommended to let them roam the house.

A couple reasons: It's hard to make a whole house ferret proofed, also the can be trained to a litterbox but if there's not one near them they'll go in the corner to do it. Plus it's a good idea to even if you're not playing with him to keep an eye out for him.
It really depends on the ferret I guess, mine never bites us, not even when we're playing. My old dentist had a two ferrets when he was little and they had no idea how to take care of them. Hearing the story about what they did made me cring and think "If you were my owner I'd bite you too! Before you get a ferret you really have to do research, I'll leave some helpful links for that at the bottom.
I would suggest getting a baby, if they are older then someone else has created their personality if that makes sense. We got our ferret when he was a baby and we held him a lot which is part of the reason he doesn't bite. If they're little you can also train them to see meat (and I think egg yolk as well) as food and you can feed them that along with ferret food.
As I said right there ^ If you get a baby ferret you can to that. A lot of people think ferret are omnivores but they're actually carnivores. My sister tried to feed him a banana slice on the first day which was not a good idea XD

Wow thanks you are really enlightening me on the wonders and joy of ferrets.

How do Ferrets and cats interact?
What if my ferret accidently runs outside when I let the cat out?
Do ferrets show affection all the time, or on their own schedule?
How much do they cost? What will I have to pay for when I get one?

It depends, I have three different cats and one ferret. My orange cat is really dopey and gets along very well with my ferret, they play together and stuff. My grey cat is really shy so she just stayed out of his way. And my oldest cat plays with him too. It's totally fine to have cats and ferrets at the same time if that's what you were wondering
First of all, I highly doubt that would happen, but it could. I think you'd be able to catch him fairly easily though, in my experience what I think would happen would be this: He'd run out the door, and stand there. XD
That question is a bit hard to answer because it varies. You would need to buy a kennel, a litterbox, toys, a bed, food, and some other stuff, just like any other pet
