Description
This design was in an issue of Cross Stitch Crazy Magazine last year and I decided that I must stitch it for a friend of mine who is a Library teacher and just loves ducks. Unfortunately didn't get it done in time for last Christmas, but I am more than ready for this one.Design features the characters Popcorn and Souffle, approximately 20 or so odd colours, whole, backstitch, half cross stitch, french knots and lazy daisies. I really enjoyed stitching the lazy daisies and could have sat up all night doing them.
I don't often stray from a pattern but I used two strands of thread for most of the whole stitches as I don't like the wishy washy look of one strand of thread on 14 count fabric. I hope you all enjoy.

I love the detail in this ! It's sooooo pretty ! The backstitch detail, bold colours and daisies really make this piece exceptional.

It's so cute! Sorry I haven't been around much with the wedding but now I'm sure I'm back. (I received your present. I loved it! I'll make a note about everything)

Actually did realise it was my present. The potter told me they sent it last week.

They are fantastic! I already imagine to place them next to the fishwoman painting. The colors are similar! Thank you so much Jo! You're in my heart!

Actually would not have been my present. I have been trying madly to obtain a very very special one for you and Rui. The artist has just had a baby which is why I am still trying to purchase it from her family. Really sorry it is late, but hopefully you will like it.

This one is just so adorable!
I love the effect the half stitches (is that their name ? ) give, like if it was coloured with color pencils X3

No need to be jealous. If you want I'll send you some kits and your Mummy could teach you. Otherwise I'm happy to provide lessons as well when I am next down. Or you are up.

Indeed and addictive. I'm not sure why you don't seen them used in more patterns.
