This wise man had many faces and the people who came to him only saw what they were open too. Many would climb the mountain to only see nothing. While a lucky few would see him. They were allowed to asked anything they wanted and carry any conversation they wanted. But the wise man knew the door only opens for a short time. But no one know what the wise man really looks like. Hes been told to be ten feet tall and wears a mask made of pure gold. The wise man comes in all forms and some even debate the the wise man is a women. Even others claim his mask is his face and thats all there is.
"The wise man comes in all forms" said a young women who had seen it. She said that she ask a cup of tea "why does the wise man ignore me." The Tea spoke back "it is you who ignores the wise man." Then it told her that soon some one would speak to her and what they have to say is very important for me to listen and not act.
A old man who was the wisest of the village climb the mountain which it was said he sat. The wise man saw no one. But he sat there waiting and he waited. After a week of waiting a voice came to him. " Why do you wait for me?" The old man spoke clear "Why do you not show your self to me i come to ask you something. I am the wisest man of my village why do you not show yourself"
ignoring the old man the voice asked again "why do you wait for me?"
The old man spoke again " I wait to see the one who is said to be the wisest?"
"You are but a foolish man. You fail to see because you fail to be wise"
"What!" Yell the old man who then went on about how he was the wisest.
"You are are a fool because you came not to gain understanding but to prove that you are wiser then another."
"Thus i give you a gift, a lesson. When you go back to your villagwe do not spend your days teaching your knowledge but instead listen. Listen to what other have to say. Listen to what the earth has to say. Take it all in and then think. Think about why they said these things. Then act act on what you have learned"
The old man went back to his village and gave up his role as wise man. The old man listened and found that there were things he had never heard before.
