Nothing works on windows 8 I need to go out and buy all new stuff...

Possible solution to your problem...that may be cheaper. Buy Windows 7.

Yeah my old PC was windows 7 but it was dying so I got a $2000 desktop and it's basically useless until I buy all new gear.. wow I'm a whinger, anyways thanks again.
