Description
Little creaking up the stairs. Who's that? Why is it here? They sound like little footsteps creating a thunderous hell unknown. My only haven is under these pastel yellow covers, quivering in cold sweat.A gentle scream form the closet. What are you? Where are you hiding? Even though this home is fully lit and the sun is always up. I can hear the claws dragging down the doors. They don't fear the sunlight anymore.
Whispers in my mind. Why don't you leave? Can't you see I'm frightened? Nobody but me, you torture constantly. I have grown since we last met yet you continue to haunt me. You irrational disturbance, what is your purpose here?
The touch of cold fingers down my back. Do you want to drag me away? What makes you stay? Your constant tugging terrorizes me into a state of submission. As I fall victim to your grasp, I feel a suffocating pressure.
Bloody droplets echoing everywhere. Why do you linger despite my age? Is embarrassing me that fun? I hear her story very clear. It still plays in my nightmares. And it makes me want to scream until I am gone.
Erratic breathing from my throat. It warns me not to peek from under my baby blue sheets. Their eyes will be there, matching their bodies in a grotesque manner. He says they are not real but it doesn't help when I feel so deathly alone.
To hear invisible footsteps and silent voice every morning and night. It drives me to write insanity with dripping, black ink. Even now I am afraid to close my eyes and be swallowed by total darkness. Sixteen years of ridiculous phobias that gave birth to paranoid eyes. With every dancing shadow, I fall deeper into my fears.
