Fallshadow Shrine 05At Fallshadow Shrine Ayame dreamt. She dreamt of claws slashing into human flesh, of fangs ripping throats open. She dreamt of hate and anger and an insatiable hunger for blood. Standing in the barren void of her dreamscape, she looked down into the face of a woman, someone she knew had been murdered by her claws and fangs. She reared back, gripped by panic, but the corpse came alive, stood up and shambled closer, looking at her with accusing eyes.
She turned around to flee, but was surrounded by even more moving corpses. They wore the faces of the villagers and others she had known since her childhood. She tried to escape through a gap in the wall of dead flesh, but a corpse with Shizuka's face suddenly blocked her way. When she stopped and took a step back a hand landed on her shoulder forcing her around. And directly in front of her was the dead and mutilated face of the woman she loved. That was when she started screaming and felt herself drop down and be engulfed by the cold black
