Huh, so this little girl knows this toad?
Also, the shading in the very first panel is really well done. Dark in some spots; there's a lot of depth. Speaking of it, seeing the bright green and yellow toad against the black and white backgrounds really makes him/her stand out. And you drew him/her wonderfully.

Well she doesn't know it so much as she sees it and knows what it is. It's complicated. xD I meant for this comic to be a quick small thing set in a mix of the universe from one of my stories and a story a friend of mine is writing. So while I was trying to keep things sort of vague enough that anyone just walking in could basically understand it and maybe even get interested in checking out Jess's or my own stories, it kind of also is enhanced by knowing the rules of either universe separately.
And thanks~! :D Standing out was a lot of the point of the coloring style so I'm glad it worked. I've got to kind of work on it and a few things for the later pages tho or else some of the characters are going to be eye-searing. xD

It's actually a toad xD But I mean like they're kind of similar and I didn't make it's skin texture quite proper for a toad sooo.. But thanks~ :D I looked up a bunch of pictures of both frogs and toads for it
