I'm over here like *makes whole design sheet so she doesn't fuck up the character* *draws the character off-model almost immediately*
This was also the page that I kind of started experimenting more with using the pen to shade along with the hatching brushes. There are some weird gaps that sort of are just part of the texture I used to make the pen, I think. Trying to figure out how to be able to get rid of them or work them in.

And we get to see the young girl. I love her diastema (the gap between her teeth). She has a very young and innocent look about her. Wonder how she knows this ethereal toad? You'll get better at drawing your character consistently. I think that's a really common problem; practice makes perfect, as they say.
Also, the toad's face in the fourth panel. XD Don't give me that look, you jerk.

I really like this page! I get now why the frog is green - it's a nice composition touch. (Said frog wasn't even a frog-frog though~ lol)

OTL I'm hoping that as I continue on I get better at drawing her consistently.

Mhm! Well, even now you're not so bad. Your consistency is fine; I thought we were referring to drawing characters from memory and then realizing it's slightly different from what you decided previously. Like, making the nose round but the reference sheet says pointy~ Stuff like that.
