Description
This is a redraw of a few panels from Issue #22 of the Marvel comic, "Invincible Iron Man" (2008). Except I changed it so it's MCU!Tony and MCU!Stephen in the beginning of Avengers: Endgame, when Tony is stranded in space. Here are the original comic panels that I redrew: 2.bp.blogspot.com/-n4LyoMgYhSY…Oh god. I've never drawn anything so ambitious like this before, especially digitally. Two, three days later, and now my eyes and soul are dead. Anyways, my take-away lessons from this drawing are...
- Adobe Illustrator is unkind and SAI is my friend.
- The blending tool is also my friend, albeit a friend I don't always like.
- I need to learn how to use brushes. I can't just keep using the pen/line tool, it's so inefficient and ugly.
- *Entire college class about perspective drawing flies out the window*
- I rarely EVER do backgrounds, but here I am, doing five in one. And it's not a normal background, it's MECH. And I survived.
- Also anatomy is weird, but luckily I had a reference.
- Hair is hard. Lighting (god, I have three light sources in this one) is hard to keep track of.
- Copy/pasting saved me, but I still messed up and made things harder for myself several times.
- ISOCT is a cool font.
