Amenii strode through the park, leaves dancing around her feet as she stepped lightly around the chilled pools of water that decorated the sidewalk. A brisk wind pulled at her summer dress making her shiver, her arms wrapping tightly around herself as she looked up.
Where had that come from?

The day before had been warm and sunny, but now, after the rains it seemed that the heat had been driven off as well. Looking about the trees still held their leafy green, though now they looked more mature, their light spring colors gone, replaced with a deep saturated green that drank in the last of the light from the cloudy skies above.

Another gust swept up under her legs sending her dress flapping, Amenii had to press her legs together to prevent the cold from reaching up to her belly. This time a spring of leaves came tumbling down to rain around her, most were green, though interspersed with yellow veins and brown tips.

‘Seasons changing.’ She whispered, holding her hands out to catch one of the wayward leaves. ‘Summer’s almost gone now.’

Frowning, the bunny rolled the leaf around in her hand.

Another year gone already, somehow the thought saddened her.
