As far as I know, panda meat went out of style back with prehistoric man. However...
In 1928, Theodore Rosevelt's sons, Kermit (I did not make that up) and Theodore IV (or was is Ted? Theodore IV might have been Kermit's son), killed and ate a panda while hunting in China. There's no record of what they said the taste was like, but the Guide refused to help and called a priest to purify the loft where the panda was butchered.
In 1983, a Chinese villager named Leng Zhizhong was tried for illegally killing a giant panda. He told the judge that his wife cooked the meat with turnips, but they didnβt enjoy it, so he fed some of the meat to his pigs (who apparently have a wider appetite than goats)Β and gave the remainder to his sister. Probably for the better, there is just something about killing and eating rare and endangered species that is frowned upon, by Linda in particular. Thankfully she is not to vocal about her protests, still this is an interesting bit of history that I was not aware of before now. Oh yes, pigs will eat just about anything, in a spooky way, now it is almost become a movie trope now, but that used to be a way to dispose of bodies. And may still be for all I know. If memory serves one needed about twenty pigs...

It depends on how big the pigs are. Domestic pigs routinely exceed 750 pounds, and they can eat a lot. It might take 20 pigs if you're sneaking the meat into their normal feed, but I hear some gangs like the Triad or Yakuza keep pigs just for the purpose of getting rid of bodies. I'm sure it takes fewer pigs if they mainly eat meat.

Smiling Linda lays back against the glass. 'Ahhhh, so warm.'

*i rub the top of her head gently with my index finger*

Linda's eyes flicker closed, humming happily to herself. Her tuft of fur atop her head is soft and fluffy to the touch.

As you stop and begin to lift you hand away, Linda reaches up and uses your finger as a means to lift herself up and out of the tea. Small droplets fall back into the cup as they run from her fur, and with a little plop she falls to the table beside the cup, giving a little shiver in the now cool air.

Noticing that sort of dreamy look in your eyes, Linda slowly begins to pad over to a paper towel fold that has been left on the table. And with a slow methodical effort she begins to slip out of her now tea socked kimono.
