Amenii arched her back, trying her best to take the pressure that had been building off the small of her back. Her efforts half worked, though the second she tired to ease herself back down the pain returned.
She must have made a noise, as a second later Nera’s head appeared around the corner.

‘Amenii?’ Looking over at her. ‘Arrrgh! What did I tell you about this pregnant yoga you insist on doing!’ Crossing the room before Amenii could protest, Nera’s massive hands closed around her back and shoulders, lifting her from the mat. ‘Honestly, with you swelling up like this I’m surprised that you can even walk, let alone twist yourself into those knots you like tie yourself in.’

‘I- ooooh… - Easy, easy.’ Amenii protested as Nera lifted her up. ‘It – Oh, ooh, AaahhhhHHH!’

At her protests, Nera stopped trying to lift her and eased her back down. Shaking her head, Amenii tried to unscrunch her face as the pain eased in her back to something that only felt like an ice pick drilling into her spine.

‘N-Nera…’ Amenii bit out. ‘C-c-Can you put me on the couch? I really need to lay down, right now…’

Muttering something about pregnancy and bunnies that Amenii could not really make out the words, and really didn’t care. She really didn’t want to think about pregnancy right now, or anything else for that matter.

‘-And have you been taking your medication? You know your swelling up a lot more that you should. That and we need to schedule another appointment with the doctor, I’m worried about those odd cravings you’ve been having –‘

‘Nera.’ Amenii closed her eyes, trying not to cry out as she eased onto the couch. ‘Shut up!’
