Description
This was my first ever go at using water colors, and it is very special to me.
That cat there, was my kitty Gizmo, who was put down at age 18-19 due to old age and her body shutting down...

I did my very best to get her coat pattern on spot, using old photos for multiple angles, this pose however wasn't from any photo of her, I just remember that's how she'd lay down, so I pulled it from memory, I'm sure somewhere in a old photo on a back up drive there is her doing that pose.

The sunflower petals were added to give her a more happy look, plus my mom's favorite flower is a sunflower, and I made this for her. Gizmo was older than me before she died, and I've always considered her as my older sister, so this was important to me to paint. I did one of Midnight, her brother, a few years back in Acrylic, so I wanted to paint Gizmo too.

Also, she has her eye closed, a signature expression of hers, winking her right eye.
And the eye color was exactly the right shade, which makes me so happy to have mixed it perfectly.
