Description UPDATE: Created a newer version of the character in The Sims 3, which can be seen here: www.deviantart.com/codebreaker…

Before I begin, I will admit that I created this representation of the character with the use of the EA Games' The Sims 2.  The reason for this is because TrionWorlds haven't released the Indogene as a playable species.  When they do, I can make a decent female Indogene to go with my male Arkhunter.  I recently picked up a copy of The Sims 3 with the intention of creating a better Indogene sim (which is proving more challenging than expected).  But, I hope that for now, it's a decent representation of how I pictured the character.

Background:

Iri was born at an unknown time prior to the destruction of the Votanis system.  She had begun studies on biomechanics at an early age after it was assigned to her and also learned various technological skills as a side project up until to the departure of the Arks.  She became one of the lucky few who was admitted onboard one of the Arks during its trip to Earth.  She met with Doctor Meh Yewll and Yewll’s future lover Lev during the intermediate periods in which crew of the Arks would interchange to maintain the systems as they went along.

After the arrival to Earth, she remained on the Ark until the Pale Wars broke out on Earth, and was then stationed with Yewll and Lev. She would serve as an assistant to Lev as she worked on the Biodyne Project. Iri would often have to handle the transferring of human prisoners to Doc Yewll and Lev for their experiments while working on side experiments not involving human subjects at Lev’s request, mainly focusing on aspects of biomechanics.  In this time, Iri read up on the human anatomy and books about Earth technology. One day, when she walked into the lab, she discovered Lev dead from an apparent suicide, which she went and got Doctor Yewll to come to the lab.  Yewll wanted Iri to continue on with Lev’s portion of the workload for the Biodyne Project, but Iri declined, saying that she wasn’t capable of performing to the same expectations as Lev, when in fact she felt uncomfortable in what was being done to the human prisoners.

At the end of the Pale Wars, when the Biodyne Project had fallen apart and the base of operations had to be abandoned, Iri and a small group of other Indogenes ended up at the University of Alabama, where some of the faculty and staff in the science department allowed for them to stay in a storage room.  After the terraforming, some of the Indogenes, as well as some human doctors, spent years traveling in a small group in the southern states to provide medical aid to the towns near the Quarantine Zone.  One day, the caravan they were with got attacked by Hellbugs, which got her separated from the others.  Getting lost in the woods and being pursued by Hellbugs, the odds of her death were greatly increased until Chase Lonehart and his father Jebediah saved her, costing Jebediah his life.

After being brought to Freedom, Alabama (formerly Pensacola, Florida), she began to wonder what she needed to do and concluded going back to the University of Alabama was the best option.  She hitched a ride with Chase Lonehart, who was leaving the town on short notice.  During their time, she inadvertently had sex with Lonehart due to being sexually stimulated from skin-on-skin contact during a very cold night.  Even though Chase agreed with her that it was a mistake, while having to wait for snow to melt in order to get back on the road, they ended up having sex a few more times.  Despite feeling an emotional connection with him, and her sensing he felt something for her, Chase proceeded to drop her off at the University of Alabama and she remained silent as he left.

After a month, Iri relocated to Freedom, Alabama, where she lived a rather minimalist lifestyle in a cargo container turned apartment.  She took up work at the Tech Shop with Michael Breaker, becoming proficient in repairs of pre-Pale War tech in addition to Votan technology.  Due to her extensive studying of human anatomy and as well familiarizing herself with other Votan anatomy, she would often assist Doctor Jackson Peters in medical procedures for humans and Votans when Peters needed the extra set of hands.  For personal relationships, she attempted to recreate the feeling she had for Chase by being involved with others, but couldn’t feel the same way (that and the human men she attempted to connect with were more selfish at sex than Chase had been).

Nine years later, Iri was surprised when Chase Lonehart had turned back up in her life.  Following a small group on a trip into the Quarantined Zone, Iri and Chase rekindled their affair, finally admitting their love for one another.  However, after Chase left with the group chasing after Rose Sinn, Belle Starr came back with news that Chase had died in Tampa.  She had continued to carry the note that he had left for her with the advice that she should move on should he pass away.  And she attempted to do so, despite the fact that he still lingered on her mind.

Five months after, she decided to make the trip out to the Bay to visit Belle Starr and the others, also wanting to see the mountain top in the Mount Tam area that Chase resided on.  It was then that she and the others discovered that Chase was still alive, but for reasons unknown he hadn’t made himself be known.  It was later discovered that Tom Cody, a man who refused to show his face and had disguised his voice, was Chase.  Due to his injuries, he had lost his memory, his right arm and his original EGO unit replaced.  Despite the changes in his personality from the loss of his memory, Iri still loves him and promises to stay by him for as long as they can.  After they returned to the Bay, for two months, Iri has tried to find a way to restore Chase’s memories, but everything she’s found and tested has lead to no valid method to do so.

During a last ditch effort to explore all options on trying to restore Chase's memory, Iri accessed the computer systems at Fort Kshaa, a former Dark Matter base that was commandeered by VBI Security Director Belle Starr and her team.  During her search for any potential method, she inadvertantly came across the blueprint formula for an Omec narcotic that had been used to push Indogenes to do things because it was the only form of pleasure they were allowed under Omec rule.  She couldn't decide to delete it or not to keep it from falling into the wrong hands due to her curiosity about the drug.  Due to her inaction, one of Belle Starr's group, Lady Christianna, went insane and joined up with a group of Inquisitors (who were founded by her mother, the Mistress of Judgment), using recently acquired Omec control rods on two others of Belle's group and downloaded the formula blueprint in a misguided plan to create a utopia.

Following that, the Inquisitors began to kidnap various Indogenes in the area, which included Iri.  Under the influence of Omec control rods, Iri, Eren Niden and several other Indogenes were sent to Edmonton, Canada to an Arkfall and began repairs to a terraspire there due to Lady's plan to use the terraspires to create utopia.  Chase Lonehart, sent by the others as a means to make sure he didn't kill Lady, and Lu Kshaa infiltrated and freed the Indogenes.  Iri and Chase separated from the others in order to disable the terraspire in order to give the others in the Bay a chance to stop her.  After doing so, Iri hugged Chase, causing him to drop his guard and got shot by one of the Inquisitors.  Due to Chase's mechanical right arm and his placement of his hand at the back of her head, the bullet impacted against the back of his hand and kept her from being killed.  However, the force of the bullet caused cerebral swelling and as a result, she become comatose.  Unfortunately, due to how it looked, Chase thought she died in his arms, setting him off to murder the man who shot her and finally, leading him to walk out into the Canadian desert without any weapons, his EGO unit and without the will to live.  Iri was rescued by Lu Kshaa and then transferred back to Top-Notch, where Eren kept an eye on her in her comatose state.

A month later, Iri finally awoke from her coma, unaware of what happened.  Upon being informed about Chase walking out into the desert in an attempt to kill himself, she attempted to kill herself out of grief.  She was stopped by Belle Starr, asking for a chance to try to find him and to be sure he was either dead or alive.  It was after Belle received a message from Amanda Rosewater in Defiance that Chase, against all odds, was in her town.  Upon arrival, it was revealed that Chase had escaped from custody, running on basic survival instinct.  With the use of an abandoned TV station, Iri was put in front of the camera in hopes that Chase would see and hear her and come back.  The message she sent out was noticed by Stahma Tarr, whom her and her husband was sheltering Chase after his escape, it inspiring her to turn him in.  After being secured, Iri tried to talk to him, only to realize how primitive he became during his trek through the desert and how afraid he was of her.  This upset her, making her believe she was at fault for what had happened to him.

The following morning, the town of Defiance was attacked by Victor Fontaine, the ruling power of Angel Arc, and his army of mercenaries, looking to get ahold of Chase to find out where Chase had hidden his wife and son.  During the situation, Iri needed to go to the medical office to get sodium amytal in hopes of extracting information from Chase’s fractured mind, when she came across Doctor Yewll’s notes that were used to create Indo-Kenya, reading the section about the use of an EGO unit to access a hosts memory without them directly recalling it.  The coding for the EGO unit to copy the memories was the missing piece she needed to repair Chase.  After repairing and inserting the new coding into the EGO’s processor, Iri reinstalled McCoy and Chase’s memories and personality was restored, him remembering everything from prior to his Tampa accident.

After Fontaine was murdered and the situation subdued, Chase and Iri took some time to make up for lost time.  After reflecting on how she had been caught by the Inquisitors, Iri decided and informed Chase that she wanted to become an Arkhunter so to learn to be able to defend herself better.

Misc. Facts:

She likes many old Earth music.  She particularly likes techno music as it reminds her of Indogene opera, which has been long lost in time and circumstance.  But she’s been expanding her musical palette over the years.

Her favorite piece of Earth-based literature is The Four-Chambered Heart by French author Anais Nin.

Doesn’t see the point in old Earth video games.  She considers them quite impractical despite their popularity and collectability then and currently.

Despite being monogamous to Chase, her sexual urges (when she is aroused by skin-on-skin contact) does often result in her approaching other potential lovers, be it for one-on-one contact or even a group contact (while trying to get Chase involved as well).  The only other person in the circle of known associates to her and Chase to see her in such a position is Belle Starr and in a much awkward moment during the first trip through Freedom, Alabama.
