I never felt more lonely then when I was without your hand.I never felt more like crying that without you to understand.
I now stand alone and silent, on my open path,
and dream about tomorrow, as I try not to look back.
But memories run like wildfire through my mind and dreams,
because I know tomorrow is never as it seems.
I wish for one more day, and one more fond memory of you,
instead of remembering that I am by myself without a soul linked true.
I know love for our age lasts for the smallest sparks,
but these bouts of love forever are held in the heart.
You are not my first love, but one that made me feel,
that all the emotions I knew existed were finally real.
I just hope that this love is remembered in my heart,
until it's time to depart the world and have a fresh new start.
But until then I wander, without aim or please,
looking for a kindred spirit who reminds me of thee.
