About

This is Sailor Europa, my original Sailor Scout design. She is named for one of Jupiter's Moons and her main responsibility is to guide and protect the Princess of Jupiter (aka Makoto/Sailor Jupiter) In the time of the Silver Millenium, she not only guarded her Princess, but also worked together with her to protect the Moon Princess.

Her "civilian identity" is Takako Saino. She physically looks to be in her late teens and attends high school on Earth, but her actual age is never disclosed. She takes her responsibilities seriously and takes great pride in protecting her Princess. Though they're not related at all, most people would probably assume Takako is an older sister to Makoto by how they interact.

She loves the color blue and is often caught gazing into the sky. She loves to fly and aspires to be a pilot once school is over (ironic, no? Makoto hates planes) She also has an interest in meteorology. (Aviators need to know these things!)

Takako shares the same fighting spirit that Makoto has, but she's not nearly as quick to jump into a fight like Makoto does. It would be avoided if possible, but when she does fight she display s amazing strength, quick reflexes, and skill.

When transforming, Takako shouts "Europa Crystal Power, Make-up!"

Her main elements are earthy like Jupiter's powers are. Her major attack uses ice.

Her inital/basic power is called
"Perfect Winter"
This icy power is essentially a strong blizzard that surrounds the enemy. The fury of snow and ice can cause numerous, small cuts to the enemy as well as obscure their vision.

Her super/upgraded power is called
"Europa Frozen Stampede"
This icy power takes the form of a large bull made entirely of ice and essentially charges and stampedes over the enemy.

I didn't detail it too much in this drawing, but her staff is meant to look like it's been crafted from ice, like an ice sculpture. (swans, anyone? haha) The Ice Staff is decorated with gold and emeralds and is enchanted with a power that will magnify her inherent magical abilities. (meaning the magic that comes out of it isn't from the staff itself, it's drawn from her at her will.)

I originally made her a whopping 13 years ago O_O;; holy cow I'm getting old. xD I was writing a fanfic that centered around Jupiter and how she found her guardian/bodyguard scout. xD Not that Jupiter needs a bodyguard or anything, but yeah...I was like a preteen when I wrote it xD haha.

SO that is why her story seems a bit simple, as if it could be found in the first half of the Sailor Moon storyline.

I have always been a bit partial to her, she was my first OC Senshi I ever made <3 So I worked on her for the contest ^^ Who knows, I might use her in another fanfic or something.

For the purposes of this contest, I revamped her look a bit and elaborated on more of the specific information that I never considered 13 years ago, but she's mostly same girl I made back then ;D Her original look was inspired by Pluto and Jupiter herself and I kept those inspirations here in her new look ;D Her new color scheme was inspired by the colors the moon Europa has in photographs.

I also know that Sailor Mercury uses water and such, and it might irk some people that Europa has a similar power. But the actual moon Europa is mostly ice and water (yes, actual water!) and that is why I chose ice as Europa's main element. I think my inspiration in her power is more weather based rather than her being a water element. o @ (like Jupiter's lightening/thunder)

I hope to do an actual Character Reference sheet for her one day <3 but with Christmas a week away, I don't quite have the time to design one for her right now ; ; sorry, guys!
