Name of Species: Markilis Dragon

Gender Percentage: 60% Male - 40% Female

Physical Appearance:

Furry mane and tail tip

7'2 high and 9'1 wide at the average

Markings often match main body color in a color scheme

Dewclaws are only found on hind legs

Markilis DO NOT have wings. Only a bone where a wing should begin

Every Markilis will have a marking that is a completely different color from their usual marking colors. It can be found pretty much anywhere.

Duck-like muzzle but still with a hint of dragon

They're a bit more thin and flexible than a usual dragon for more agility

They have canine-like teeth (I unfortunately forgot to add that into the picture)

Unlike most dragons, Markilis have long and thick tails

Accessories-wise: A Markilis always wears the metal band around his or her neck. It symbolizes what they're strength/power is. (Example: The one above is strongest at a full moon. Therefore, she gets her power from moonlight and stars)

Power marking: Every Markilis has a power marking. This marking is different compare to his or her's usual markings. The power marking will show more clearly whenever that time of strength comes, such as shining brighter than usual. (Example: The one above's power marking is on her eye, the very light purple. Whenever there is a full moon, her power marking will glow.)

Habitat: A Markilis can live in pretty much any environment, but it all depends on their biggest strength. Some may despise the cold, and some may love it. They're usually found in mountains or forests.

Appetite: The Markilis Dragon is an omnivore. Therefore, they will eat both meat and vegetation. Depending on how they are raised, they usually will lean to one or the other, and mostly stick to that. They'll only eat the other type if it's an absolute must. If one leans towards herbivore, a markilis will mostly eat berries. If one leans towards carnivore, a markilis will usually eat large animals. However, a markilis is never a cannibal, even if it's desperate. (And no. Markilis DO NOT eat humans)

Egg of a Markilis: The egg of this type of dragon will have the colors of what it will turn out to be and a small hint of what the markings will look like. However, all of the eggs will have a sign of the power marking they get. A Markilis will usually only have ONE egg per mating season. It's uncommon to have two and rare to have three.

How a Markilis will act around....
A Human - Markilis can be very cautious around the human race. It all depends on their experience. Most of the time, they'll be able to sense whether a human has a good-nature or not. This is pretty much how they will find out how they should act around them.
Another animal/creature - The first thing that really depends on this is how the Markilis eats. If they lean towards carnivore, they may act a little uneasy or... ravenous around the other animal. If they lean towards herbivore, then the animal has a good reason to relax. If the animal or such acts a bit strangely or makes the Markilis uncomfortable, they may attack, but it's unsure. Most of the time, an herbivore-like Markilis will be patient.
Another Markilis - Whether carnivore or herbivore, Markilis NEVER turn on their own kind. They're very generous towards each other, no matter what has happened in the past. If a disagreement comes to play, they don't pull out their own claws at each other. They find another way to settle it without a true battle. They all act as one.

A Usual Personality of a Markilis:
The personality of a Markilis, again, depends on certain standards. These standards may include their appetite, size, position, and how they were raised. Herbivores are usually very nice and patient. They know how to deal with thing sin a very calm manner. Even the bigger ones usually know how to manage stuff without a snap. Carnivores may be more aggressive and snappy. They like to deal with things with a more dominant attitude, but still never get into fights with claws and fangs. Size does not depend much, but those who are larger than most will like to feel like they deserve more or such. Position would be something such as leader or the son of the leader. They like to be the best no matter what. Lastly is how a Markilis is raise If they're raised badly, they're going to be rude. If they had kind parents, they'll be kind. It's exactly like role model.

Alrighty okay that was actually kinda fun. I'm very proud of those dragon feet >-> Anyways. This is my entry for Round Three of Imagination Creation.

I was ORIGINALLY just making a character, but then like... I freaked out about it and did the species instead. However, the Markilis used for the picture is my character, Lunalei.
