Description When Satan disguised himself as a serpent and told Eve to eat the fruit. When sin entered the world...

Taken at the Creation Museum.

If you're against Creationism, I do not want to hear from you. I took these pictures for my own enjoyment as well as the others that live for God.

Forgive me if that little description is off. It's been years since I've heard that story. ><;;

I've been there recently, it's a great place. I'd definitely recommend it to whoever wants to learn about Christian defending arguments, as many people assume that we have no evidence our beliefs could ever be true scientifically. It also does an outstanding job of using science and logic to show the faults of evolution. Keep being awesome, and stay strong.

you do realize the bible says the earth was created some 2,000 years ago right? The earth is billions of years old, with fossils, & layers to prove it.

CodeXANA In reply to OfficialPazora [2014-12-02 04:42:29 +0000 UTC]

It actually doesn't say when the earth was created. Jesus died 2000 years ago. The earth can't be "billions" of years old, and creationist scientists have proven it. Fossils can exist in creation too, numbskull lol.

Actually it is ranged about 4.54 billion years old. It's just a fact. Yeah it goes against your religion, but that's fine. I'm a pagan, & even I believe the earth is way older than everyone thinks. It's just my belief, you don't have to be rude you know...

Can I ask you a question?

Yes, yes I can.

So, if satan exist (and he doesn't) then why did he take a form of serpent? Why serpent of all creatures?

That's strongly disrespectful for such important creature.Β

You may not believe Satan exists, but he does to me. And disrespectful? It wasn't disrespectful at the time. I don't know why he chose a snake, but maybe for stealth, and he could go into the tree.

I was thinking MYTH was disrespectful to snakes.

Hm, interesting opinion. Still don't believe, but that wasn't even your goal, huh?

What you say is true, Satan did take the form of a serpent in the Garden of Eden to lure Eve into sin and evil.

God bless you in your life.

I'm a firm believer in evolution, but I'm not here to mock you for your beliefs. I'd like to offer some constructive criticism on your belief system. I don't intend to sway your beliefs, but if you ask me, the Bible was meant, not for its historical veracity, but for its lessons. In my opinon, there should be a separate place for science, law, and religion, but please don't say I'll burn in Hell for that, as I'm not trying to attack your beliefs, but merely constructively criticizing them.

I've actually been to the Creation Museum,(Good place to go to by the way.) and I have seen this for myself. What I didn't understand about the sculpture is the fact that it's a snake.Shouldn't it have legs or something since in the Bible the creature was cursed to 'crawl on its stomach' after it tempted Eve?Just a thought I had.I do believe in Creation and Christ BTW.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CodeXANA In reply to askvarus [2012-12-07 00:00:02 +0000 UTC]

It's a fake snake, and is no specific species. It closely resembles a horned viper though, but this is just a sculpter of a snake in the Creation Museum.

It has occurred to me that we like to apply the evil to the serpent, however technically the Serpent was telling the truth and it was God who was lying.
God said to Adam that if he ate the fruit then he would surly die.
The Serpent told him that if he ate the fruit he would know good and evil.
Adam ate the fruit and he knew good and evil.

I wouldn't say the Serpent is evil by any stretch of imagination.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

askvarus In reply to UltimateGrid [2012-12-03 10:13:24 +0000 UTC]

I'm not taking any sides on this matter... there are still untold or unclear things about this story. In fact, it was just recent when I found out that there is another tree aside from the one told in the Bible. People tend to take the Bible too literal causing confusion to us. If we try to analyze it carefully, we might get a solid solution... To the reason why the "snake" was made as a symbol of evil is due to the Bible. But it was stated that it was a "serpent", not really a snake... who knows what a serpent would look like billions of years ago... for all we know, it might have limbs during that time...

UltimateGrid In reply to askvarus [2012-12-06 06:57:38 +0000 UTC]

If you have a book that can be interpreted any way you want; literal or metaphorical depending on the situation, then it can appeal to any point of view, ironically meaning it supports no point of view.

Regardless whether the snake is truly a serpent, or if he's a demon, or a dinosaur or a psychic were-walrus that lives under the surface of the moon, he still told the truth, while God lied.

Waffletooth In reply to UltimateGrid [2015-02-18 00:18:46 +0000 UTC]

I just wanted to point out, Adam and Eve did die, maybe not immediately. But if they didn't sin, then they would never have died. As death was only brought on by sin.

Satan actually did lie, read Genesis 3:4, he claimed that they would not die.

Just some clarification, not to be rude.

The serpent should have legs. Genesis is quite clear in the fact that, when God punishes the serpent, he takes its legs away, which means that the serpent had legs before being punished.

Scripture fail.
