Great attention to the subtle reflections, a wonderful piece. Just as a guide to how I work on shading I always start with a hard 4h, then shade over with an HB and finally move to the dark B's if needed. Between each layer I use a smudge stick to really work the pencil into the paper, it really helps to take the grain out of graphite.

Your welcome. The tortillion smudge stick has improved my work so much. That and a Faber castell perfection eraser, great for fine erasing work

The best I have found is Bristol strathmore 300 smooth. My latest piece which I am hoping to complete in the next couple of weeks is on strathmore 400 smooth as it is a much larger drawing the thicker card was better. Hope this helps
