Help me I am drowning
My heart and being constricted
My eyes misted over by tears like acid
Save me I'm falling

Down into that abysmal Darkness
Where the jaws of the Devil wait and tease
Lost in a maze of un-lived living
I beg for some reprieve oh please!

I've been walking all the while
In unmarked roads trodden by ghosts
And here you came with your hand outstretched
And here I thought I saw the light and at last was blest

But still I swim in an ocean of people,
Wounded feet treading jagged glass alone
Seeing flames in peoples hearts but faceless they remain
And in my journey I pass by a spectre unfelt still---unknown.

Tired and weary of this journey I wish for nothing more
Than to lie peacefully in your arms remembering the
Peace of days that have gone, dreaming departed dreams
(sadly) That have flown before and shall flee once more...

Let me dream, if it is not too much to ask
For I have seen too much and wept so copiously
That I wish for nothing more than a sweet release
Be it delusional, I will cling religiously to imaginary peace.

I am sorry my heart is broken. I am sorry I am not whole.
But I cannot be sorry for this over-powering torture of my soul.
I am not sorry that I feel, I am not sorry for my tears---
I am not sorry that I am sometimes afraid to face what's real!

So please take me now, save me, I am drowning
I fall before my knees and knock at the door of your heart
Tearful in my plight I kneel beseeching---
Please come and save me, my soul is dying.
