thanks for your comments - i'll check out your galleries as soon as i got some spare time.
@lamediel: i took that shot using my old ricoh rdc 7. it's got an rather bad lense and tends to get grainy. i tried to compensate that by using a smoothing algorhythm, which produced the fuzziness. things are going to get better when i got my new camera, i hope.
