Nothing in particular, maybe I was just going to create some confusion for the viewer..

It's a linoprint! Carved by hand into a linoplate, then printed on paper!
Thanks!

wonderful!
Alot of work goes into lino, i did it for a fair bit of highschool. I love your idea and the form in which you've presented it. the one thing thats wierding me out is the medium which you've printed to...the colour is so similar to the lino i'm not sure if its the product of the print, or the lino itself still.
but i'm overly impressed. i want more!

Coldone In reply to manifestation [2006-10-19 07:26:31 +0000 UTC]

Thanks a lot.! The medium I've printed on is white paper. I guess you meant the second color, it's a two color print, two plates, one black, one brown.

manifestation In reply to Coldone [2006-10-19 08:10:46 +0000 UTC]

aaaaaaaah, now i understand, the teeth are the paper!
thats ingenious, i just thought the white was your second colour.
now im tripply impressed.

for those who just dont shut up! hehe.

this is an awsome piece.
might i ask where would one find a linoleum press (or whatever its called)?

Coldone In reply to RudeBoys [2006-05-08 08:30:42 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. Hm, a linoleum press, I guess you can buy one in some art stores, otherwise in most schools with art classes you can find one too. I did this one during a seminar, I don't have one at home, yet.

Thanks!
Although, I don't think I will make it available as print, because it is already a print, a traditional one, and I think when printed digitally, it will lose some effect., well, I'll see...

This is fabulous. I love the quality of your marks. The registration is very clean, too. How'd you do the color? Two separate blocks or a reduction?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Coldone In reply to saintartaud [2005-08-17 12:40:41 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! The color was on a seperate block, yes.

this is great. i really like this one. was it done digitally ?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Coldone In reply to viruxx [2005-08-17 12:45:48 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! No, this is traditional printing, you take a piece of linoleum, cut out the places you want to leave in white, ink your plate and press it onto the paper. This is two plates, one for the black, one for the brown.
