Figured I should put up some half-way shots of something. Madder red linen gown early in the building process. The fronts have been completed and the back pleated to the lining. This fitting was to determine how the two overlap. I'll be taking it in an inch or so more from this point. Next is on to pleating the skirt. I might also adjust the back neckline to be narrower, I'm trying to quietly achieve an early 1780s style. The pleats are facing inward, rare but not unseen.
