Description
Hand-sewn 1780s stays, based on an original in the Colonial Williamsburg collection. Boning is oak splint and flat steels (in the tabs). Outer fabric is a teal worsted wool, two layers of heavy unbleached linen, and a loose white linen lining. Bound in leather. Stitched with a heavy linen thread.Related content

Once again, amazing. They are beautiful, like they were sewn on a magic sewing machine! But no, you did it by hand!!! Blows my mind really, but I suppose that's how they used to do it!
