Zelda Twilight Pirncess belongs to Nintendo.I'm going to be breaking the hearts of a few Ralis fangirls with this.
No I didn't make a mistake with the title, and here's why.
When they translated Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess they changed Ralis's gender. Thats right...in the Japanese version of the game Ralis was oringinally FEMALE! As in Ralis is not Prince of the Zora's, but the PRINCESS!
I'm not sure as to why they changed Ralis from a girl to a boy when tranlating TP to english. My guess is because Ralis walk's around naked all the time. All she has on is that water bottle tied around her waist. They could have just gave her a top...I'm sure they could have done that...the gender change was silly in my opinion and was un needed.

Interesting... why would they change Ralis from female to male? The other Zoras are nude.o_o (And is it true by what you said in your rant that girls find him/her SEXY?)
By the way, have you heard about the Vivian thing? She's a character from a Mario game and was supposedly male in the original Japanese.

I really don't know why they changed it...belive it or not there are other pieces of censoreship in other American releases of Zelda games...they're just so small nobody puts them into question.
And yes....scary as it is to say Ralis has fangirls that find him sexy...ugh...Shota complex much?

Yeah when I saw her I thought "Did they try a bishonen thing here? Because Ralis looks more like a girl"
It seems also that Nintendo is trying give the Zora's genders through colors too...if you notice every Zora that is mentioned as female is pink or some shade of purple. Ralis, The Zora Queen Rutala and the Zora from the Boat rental place are all pink or dark purple.
I can't see how this was a mistranlsation...the Kanji for Prince and Princess are diffrent...its utter stupidity to get them mixed up. You think with translating Zelda games all these years you would think they know the Kanji for the word Princess by now if it WAS a situation of mistranslation.

Unfortuantly the website that had the information was shut down. But another place that can be used as proof is Zeldapedia, but not many would count it as good proof since its part of Wikipedia.
