Description What do you get when an American superhero knight pays a visit to Canada and then to Australia to talk about armor improvement?  The next great step in Colonel Knight Rider's evolution, or the rare Eques Pallium Praeclarus (literal translation from Latin: Knight Cloak Excellent).   All credit goes to for the general inspiration and for the cape's finishing touches.

As soon as I figure out how to do this helmet from the side (I think 85% of the job has been done already because a model with a four-segmented closed visor is stored securely in my Google Drawings), a series of new logos will follow.

As for my beloved squire , her cape will receive a similar treatment.

If this is your first time hearing about the character, here is his profile.

Personal Quote: "Anybody can be a knight.  Build your life around your virtues and values, and everything else should fall into place."

In his original universe, Robert MacDiarmid was born in San Francisco, California, to Scottish immigrants Angus and Fiona MacDiarmid, the former an accountant and the latter an architectural designer.  He joined the secret society of the Knights of the International Order of King Marius the Immortal, hoping to carry on the legacy of the maternal grandfather he never knew: the Scottish knight superhero and Royal Air Force (RAF) officer Sir Galbraith of Glasgow.  Along the way, he was blessed with an electromechanical suit of armor, a throwable two-handed sword, and the artificially intelligent automobile COLT, all consisting primarily of buckypaper and invented by the late genius billionaire Dr. Walton Mustang, who was the fifth-generation chairman and CEO of his family business: Templar Technological Research, Inc.  Sir Robert had a fantastic military hero career, even reuniting Dr. Mustang's lost older son Henry with his younger son Vaughn, and rose to the rank of colonel at a younger-than-average age.  A year and a half after he left the Order of Marius to take care of smaller-scale crime in his hometown of San Francisco, he was rejected from Club Gamers' Paradise after he protested against their lambasting his dreams of being a screenwriter.  He then moved midwest to Cornburgh, Iowa, where he made friends with an aspiring game developer named Thanous Ent and his quirky friends Nash White and Barnaby "Bomby" Bagels.  He even found time to recruit Thanous, who dresses as a film noir detective to fight crime, as his squire, then rescue Elsah Paige "Elsie" Morgan, the princess of the micro-nation of Whitecrown, from his self-proclaimed arch rival: a rogue knight named El Marqués Pasquale (say: PASS-kuh-lay).

In  's DeviantArt Extended Universe, Robert personally knew Sir Galbraith as well as Dr. Mustang and witnessed both their murders, first at age 10 and then at age 23.  Other differences in the DAEU include:
- His car COLT's steampunk motif, making him partially resemble a steam train engine;
- His princess's humble origins as a handmaid who convinces her princess to hear out her vision for a micro-nation to lead the planet Drodon to freedom;
- His sidekick Thanous's birth as a half-human, half-Naiad (water-connected Native Drodonian) chessboard maker named Max who dreams of becoming a detective;
- His meeting Henry Mustang after meeting Elsie and Than—I mean, Max; and
- His friend Bomby playing the part of a singing jester whose exquisite voice is achieved through bagel consumption.

(Note: Sir Galbraith was previously ranked as a major general until I correctly suspected before posting this Deviation that U.S. Air Force ranks do not have the same names as those of the British Royal Air Force!  In the DAEU, his rank is tweaked from Air Vice-Marshall to Aerospace Vice-Marshall.)

Colonel Knight Rider belongs to me.  Please do not reproduce him in your art without my permission or unless you want to make a gift or do an art trade.  Thanks, and have a great day!

Um…that's…not how the Order of Marius works.  It has modern military ranks.

But, if you're thinking of a more archaic system, then it's paladin all the way.

Speaking of which, what are the rankings in the archaic system you're thinking of?  Where is it from?

Hmmm, I'm thinking like a historical fiction type setting honestly.
