Description
Inspired by the BSG episode Maelstrom, this is a piece that has been appearing in my head over and over since I decided I'd put more practice/effort into doing painted-scenes.The vipers I just did from memory so they may not be perfect, and the clouds I just kept messing around with my brush until it started to look okay.
It all started to go together when I sorted out my lighting and time of day and painted the vipers/clouds accordingly.
Anyway, enjoy. Comments welcome and appreciated.

I normally can't stand the hardware side of Sci-fi art, but this is beyond just "oh cool vipers" and you show the connection between the character just by the composition and the colors and the whole thing! wow!

I don't watch Galactica very much, so I'm not a huge fan. I love all your paintings of it, though. This one looks great all around. The air...space craft...things..... the vipers, and the clouds, it all looks cool.

Yep it was a great episode. Although i'm a bit evil in the fact i took pleasure in a certain someone's death. Hahah woops.
Technically I didn't follow form since Apollo was actually in a Mark IV not a mark II, but Art shouldn't always be 100% technical. (That and I can't remember how to dark Mark IV's)
